Drowning in regret, fearing that this is something I can't help, help in aiding the mind and body to forget, I fear that I'll never be the same again. Falling is only natural, but I can't seem to pick myself back up. Healing is said to come in time, but the hands stopped moving on this clock and the sand in the hourglass refuses to take another drop.
You're supposed to be a miracle; a blessing, but with each hit of my cigarette I can't help but fear you. I'm supposed to love you, already, but how can I love you when I don't even love myself? We're not ready, and I can't pick myself off this bathroom floor, I can't stop drowning in my tears, and I can't stop aching for you. Forgive us... Please... Forgive me.

"At least it's not cancerous," said over and over and over again. As if, my two other options had been by all means any better. As if, from that moment I had done nothing but won, but that is absurdly wrong. Quite frankly, all it was, was a loss all around.
