firstly, i think it would be really interesting with both Jon and Kaelith - people think Jon's a bastard, but it turns out he's the son of Lyanna Stark and Rhaegar Targaryen. and people think Kaelith is truly Roose and Bethany's child, when she's actually a bastard. both grew up thinking they were one thing, only to later find out that they're something completely different.
another thing that i think would play a huge part - would be how Ramsay interacts with Kaelith. if he doesn't know, and he thinks Kaelith has a better chance at being Roose's heir, he's more inclined to be rid of her. I do think he absolutely suspects something is off about Kaelith. and maybe, when he goes to kill Roose, he confronts him about it. and if Roose, confirms it, i do believe there would be a lot of subtle taunting and comments from Ramsay. especially in the courtyard during the BotB. "You and I are not so unlike, sister." - stuff like that.
now, as for who's bastard she is, there's two different options im thinking about. Bethany somehow gets pregnant by someone else during her marriage to Roose, after Domeric is born. I think the way Roose would play along and claim Kaelith as his own, would be an interesting touch. Roose is cold and cruel and doesn't show affections. But he does hold love and respect for Bethany, and i do think he'd do everything to protect her and her honour.
alternatively, I do think about Roose bringing baby Kaelith back to the dreadfort after he has an affair with a woman. similarly to the lie Ned told everyone about Jon. maybe Roose met someone whilst on campaign or during a Robert's Rebellion or something along those lines. someone who reminded him of Bethany. and in a moment of what feels like a very rare weakness, there's an affair. now with this one, i do think he'd be careful about how baby Kaelith is brought back to the dreadfort. perhaps at the time, Bethany is also pregnant, her due date falling around the same time he arrives back?? if that is possible? idk timelines are tricky. but, he brings baby Kaelith to the dreadfort and he and Bethany make it seem like she has twins. or, a more angsty choice, Bethany's baby is stillborn, so they pass Kaelith off as their child.
either way, Kaelith grows up not knowing anything. she believes she is Roose's and Bethany's daughter. and whilst Roose cares for her truly, he does not show it with affection or love. he pushes her to be the best she can be, so that he can set her up for a good future where her parentage is never questioned. i think he'd both push her to learn from him, how to manage the dreadfort, how to fight battles, everything she needs to know. but i do also think he'd push for a marriage for her. i do think in someway, before the war of the five kings, he was hoping to set a betrothal between Kaelith and Robb. and going back to an earlier plan i did have for Kaelith - for her to get betrothed to a Frey. I would, though, also like to explore other options of marriage for her that Roose would have set up.
as for how Kaelith finds out, im nto 100% sure how i would like to go about it. there are many options that i think would add to her story. from Ramsay telling her, to her dreaming about it, a maester at the dreadfort who lived long enough to know everything, or even Bran telling her.
overall - i do really like the though of this kinda being a subtle soulmate thing between her and Jon in a way

I was wondering what made you choose Anya Charlotra as you fc for Kaelith!! I remember seeing art of her and I felt like it had a different vibe from her actual fc so I wanted to ask <3
Honestly? I've been through a few different face claims for Kaelith. oddly — none of them truly felt right. though, when I first sorta made her, I had a specific vision of her appearance, which is why I absolutely get why seeing art of her vs her faceclaim can feel completely different!
there was never really a big reason as to why I chose Anya — not with her appearance anyway. to be honest I hadn't even watched the Witcher before I found her for Kaelith's faceclaim. but I'd seen clips. and there was just something about her energy that had felt more like Kaelith than the faceclaims id chosen before.
and I know there's the issue of me describing Kaelith as pale when I first made her, when Anya is not. and whilst I am both stuck between Kaelith having similar features to Roose and Domeric, and also Bethany, I've had Anya as her fc for so long that I can't imagine changing it. Anya is just a huge part of Kaelith for me now. as for the art of her, I'd gotton those before I'd realised that my vision for her vs her actual face claim was a thing
I am working on different ideas and have changed the factor of race and ethnicity to match Anya. and I am exploring the possibility of Kaelith actually being a bastard or changing Bethany's faceclaim to another. I do like the former idea more, especially with the way I would plan go about it. and I think it would definitely bring more depth to her, her past, her future, and also her relationship with Roose and Bethany
