Side by side, they were very much alike, in similarity less of lineament than of manner and bearing, a correspondence of gesture which bounced and echoed between them so that a blink seemed to reverberate, moments later, in a twitch of the otherās eyelid. Their eyes were the same color of gray, intelligent and calm.

He is a weapon, a killer. Do not forget it. You can use a spear as a walking stick, but that will not change its nature.

Could it be because it reminds us that we are alive, of our mortality, of our individual souls- which, after all, we are too afraid to surrender but yet make us feel more miserable than any other thing? But isnāt it also pain that often makes us most aware of self? It is a terrible thing to learn as a child that one is a being separate from the world, that no one and no thing hurts along with oneās burned tongues and skinned knees, that oneās aches and pains are all oneās own. Even more terrible, as we grow old, to learn that no person, no matter how beloved, can ever truly understand us. Our own selves make us most unhappy, and thatās why weāre so anxious to lose them, donāt you think?
Iām a massive daydreamer. Iām constantly lost within my own fantasies and my own thoughts personally, and I think maybe that is sort of represented in what we do for a living, the fact that we make believe everything and we escape into these other characters for a living.

I love Aryaās honesty. She wears her heart on her sleeve, and sheās possibly the most straight-talking character on the show. Although her confidence in earlier seasons stemmed from naivete and inexperience, and in more recent seasons sheās learned that keeping her mouth shut is sometimes the smarter thing to do, I love that she still pipes up wherever she can and isnāt afraid to question people.
