Dimitri knew that most of the hardships he had experienced were simply a byproduct of his true nature. All monsters were doomed to be abandoned, hated, and feared. Ending up alone was simply in his nature.
But when she looked at him, her eyes showed no disgust. On the contrary, she looked at him withā¦ pity? He didn't know. Nobody had ever seen him like that. Not until now.
"Why are you looking at me like that?" he asked.
"Because I love you," she answered.
Love? How could someone like him ever be loved? Surely, she must be mistaken.
"No, I know what I feel," she shook her head. And then, she confessed in a quiet voice: "I would kill the sun for you."
And he knew, that she had the power to do just that.

You walked into the throne room, wanting to show Daenerys the dress you had on, it was (Y/F/C), your favorite color. You walked into the throne room, just in time to see Jorah being escorted out by the Unsullied, and looking at Daenerys, you noticed that she looked sad, making you rethink talking to her at the moment, but before you could leave you heard her speak ā(Y/N)ā you looked up at her, now seeing her smile at you, making you walk up the steps towards her āIāll be with you shortly, I just have to be done hereā she smiled, taking your small hands in hers, knowing your lessons were soon, but you shook your head āyouāre sadā you said in a quiet voice, raising your hand to her cheek, which made tears form in her eyes as she smiled softly āyes, youāre clever, arenāt you?ā you smiled slightly at her question, shrugging lightly. She looked down and sighed āI will tell you about it later, right now, you worry about your lessons, alright?ā you nodded and before leaving you hesitated, and Daenerys wondered if there was something else you wanted to talk about, but then you hugged her, it was brief, very brief, she barely had time to react and hug you back, and then you ran off, running to your room. When you reached your room you saw your teacher already there, and you sat down at the table, getting ready to learn.
Hours later, Daenerys still hadnāt shown up, like she promised, and you began to grow less and less interested in your lessons, your teacher said that she was very important, and didnāt have time to run around you all the time, which didnāt help your mood. When she finally showed up the sun was setting, and she had been crying, you could tell. Yes, you were young, but you could tell. She dismissed the teacher and sat you down on the bed ā(Y/N), I have to tell you somethingā she began but, in an effort to cheer her up, you ran to get something, coming back with a big book, you read in it a bit before looking back at her āhello Daenerys Stormborn, of house Targaryenā your accent was a bit broken in the common tongue, but overall you were very proud, looking at her with pride and she couldnāt help the proud smile āthatās very good, youāre learning so quicklyā you giggled at her words, putting the book away and running back to her, sitting on the bed beside her as she exhaled, looking down into her lap.
A brief silence filled the room, but she finally looked at you āSer Jorahā¦ he did a bad thingā¦ a very bad thing. He betrayed meā you looked at her confused and she sighed āIā¦ had to send him away. Ser Jorah did something very, very bad. He could have told me, but he didnātā she knew you had taken a liking to the older knight, and when realisation hit you, you looked down with tears in your eyes āheās gone?ā you mumbled, making Daenerys nod, her eyes on you even though you didnāt look at her āyes, (Y/N), he did a very bad thing. I know you probably donāt understand now, but when youāre olderā¦ when youāre older you will hopefully understandā, after another silence, you looked back up at her, tears in the corners of your eyes, and Daenerys almost broke down, she almost cried herself at the broken look in your eyes.
You were about to say something when a screech echoed outside the Great Pyramid, and looking over you saw Rhaegal, much larger than before, make his way onto your balcony, making you run up to him. Daenerys looked puzzled at Rhaegal, it was as if Rhaegal could sense your sadness, like her dragons could with her, or maybe, it was her own sadness. You clung to Rhaegalās neck, he had gotten so big that your arms couldnāt fit around him. You cried into his scales, mumbling why you were sad and thatās when Daenerys couldnāt help it, she couldnāt help the small tear that left her eye, but she quickly wiped it away. She sat with you for hours, just watching you with Rhaegal, and how you were comforted by him. Despite the situation, she couldnāt help smiling at you, at the sight of you, a little girl, clinging to a real dragonās neck like it was the most safe thing in the world. She studied you, the way you had calmed down, the way Rhaegal was laying on the floor of your balcony, you against his wing and his tail around you, protecting you. You had fallen asleep in those hours that had passed, still clinging to Rhaegal, and Daenerys once again couldnāt help herself, she got up and walked to Rhaegal, kneeling down by him and gently caressing his head, smiling at him.Ā
āThank youā she whispered, Rhaegal lifting his head slightly in response before lowering it again. Daenerys thought for a moment before getting up, leaving you curled up with Rhaegal for the night as she left your room, she knew you wouldnāt be cold, due to the natural heat Rhaegal exuded, and she knew youād be safe and comfortable. She smiled at the thought as she walked to her own chambers, two of her children, curled up together for the night.
