Please share if possible to raise awareness. Sorry if this is off topic.
There is currently extremely deadly flooding in West Africa.
This is in part due to climate change messing up the balance of the dry and rainy seasons.
The floods have a ripple effect and are also causing landslides and other disasters.
People have died, and will continue to do so.

*unfortunately, "android city" by paolo di cioccio is not available on youtube, but it is in the spotify playlist.
In this scorching summer, our tent has become an unbearable place to live. The suffocating heat fills it throughout the day, leaving us with no shade to protect us and no breeze to bring relief. When night falls, another struggle begins as rats and insects spread throughout the tent, stealing our children's sleep and filling their hearts with fear. Every day, we endure the relentless summer heat and the dangers of these harsh conditions. All we hope for is a safe shelter that preserves our dignity and gives our children the chance to live in safety.

Every single one of the 599 refugees the US admitted last month was a white South African, according to data the State Departmentās Bureau of Population released Friday.
In fact, so was every other refugee admitted this year. Since October 1, 2025, the US has accepted 6,668 refugees. Of those, 6,665 were white South Africans. Threeāadmitted last Novemberāwere from Afghanistan. No other refugees were admitted.
And this is only half the story. They are also revoking the legal status of existing immigrants granted protected status due to fleeing dangerous conditions in their home countries⦠and letās look at which countries they are:
Since Inauguration Day, more than 1.5 million immigrants have either lost or will lose their temporary legal status, including their work au
"Word of mouth spread the reputation of hospitals and medical schools (which were not typically affiliated with hospitals until the middle of the nineteenth century) as repositories for Black bodies that have been stolen under cover of darkness by "night doctors" for use in medical dissection rooms and laboratories.
This oral tradition is frequently dismissed as "old wives' tales" and "superstition" because tales of the theft of Black bodies sound fantastic to many whites- and to African Americans who pride themselves on their scientific sophistication. Many people assume that belief in the theft of Black bodies is paranoia born of a violently racist history.
But Janie Gaines and Sarah Cox know from experience that Black cadavers tend to disappear. In January 1998, the sisters frowned as they surveyed the crumbling headstones, trash, and tangled weeds strangling Greenwood, the Birmingham, Alabama cemetery in which their family had long ago laid their sister, Addie Mae Collins.
Although most Americans do not know her name, Addie Mae is a national icon of sorts. The thirteen-year-old was a martyr of the civil rights movement, one of four girls who were murdered in the 1963 bombing of Birmingham's Sixteenth Street Baptist Church a few days after the city schools were integrated...
It was thirty years before her sisters could bear to visit her grave, and when they saw its neglected state, they immediately arranged to have Addie Mae moved to another, better-maintained cemetery. However, workers who opened the grave recoiled in shock: It was empty, devoid of casket and corpse.
Addie Mae's body, like so many buried and Black cemeteries throughout the south, is missing."

Genuinely, the way some people will throw IRL tragedies in your face to make you shut up about their racism is astounding.
They genuinely believe they are good allies, because they visibly care about the āimportantā issues, while continuing to contribute to the casual racism rampant around them.
@ the white savior anime flair FE fan arguing that the orientalism in their misogynistic anti-Black racist predatory gacha game doesnāt exist, because itās not a ~real~ problem like genocide š„“
Or because SOMETIMES the ambiguously brown characters are the āgoodā guys or victims needing to be saved.
just like misogynistic jokes and language ultimately do uphold society-wise misogyny, allowing people to use the term "people of color" incorrectly for their convenience or out of ignorance will ultimately contribute to racism. "actual racism" does not start at a civil or criminal level, it stems from and thrives in something as small as dismissive language. please try to use "poc" correctly, it is not that hard to adjust your vocabulary for one word.
Do not come on my posts with āBlack Women Are Superhuman Beings Who Can Handle Anythingā takes. Thatās a dangerous and reductive rhetoric rife with misogynoir. No, black women cannot take more negative and harmful attacks than other women can. Black women are not primed to withstand more attacks and harassment than women of other races. Stop. That is horrifying. Black women deserve grace, compassion, and a soft place to rest, not constant burdens.
