Hey guys, I know you’re probably wondering where I’ve been. I took what I intended to be a brief break to finish up my degree, but shit has kind of hit the fan.

As I sit here now, I’ve been fighting very serious, very sudden-onset illness. I’m extremely lucky in that I researched enough and got ornery enough and had family who supported me enough to find the right people to get answers: I’ve been diagnosed with severe POTS, EDS, and likely Chronic Fatigue Syndrome.

It’s taken about a bazillion dollars worth of medical bills to get here, and I got sick just a month after getting my degree. I have exactly no money and no way to pay for the bills, medicine, or mobility aids I need.

Long story short: I’m very sick, and I might be this way forever. I’ve managed to all but fistfight a get a diagnosis for POTS and EDS, though there are other issues suspected. I have fainting and seizing spells that, in addition to being terrifying, make driving and working impossible.

Basically it’s every American medical story: I have more bills than I’ll ever be able to manage, and no way to deal with them.

Hi guys it’s literally two days later and I need a new bumper and tail light because my car got rear ended by a lifted ram truck on the highway. (My dad was driving, I refuse to get behind the wheel for safety reasons.) Luckily the only apparent “injury” is whiplash with me, unluckily my car is kinda fucked.
