Thank you krssyreads_ for allowing us to repost this beautiful lyyzis_art Gwynriel. The glow, the emotion, the tension… we can’t get enough!
If you love this art style, keep an eye on our page tomorrow. We’ve got something special planned across several platforms 😉💖
The papa archeron quote with Lucien’s mask 👀👀👀👀

Day 1 in the Elucien Week: “Heartbeat”
@elucienweekofficial
I made this mini comic based on their first interaction in the House of Wind, where Elain tells Lucien that she can hear his heartbeat, but with some changes of my own. 😉💜

The intimacy of someone protecting your name when you’re not in the room.
Bestest feeling. They carried a version of you with them, and they protected it.
"His name is Lucien." 😩
My favourite moment in Nesta's character journey is in HOFAS, where we see that after ending ACOSF fully brainwashed by the IC into believing she's a worthless human being who might earn respect by spilling her guts doing what they ask of her and licking their arse, Nesta has got her self-respect back and is refusing to be a Night Court lackey.
Veering into headcanon here, but I reckon that's the influence of Gwyn and Emerie giving her unconditional love for once. They've been showing her she doesn't need to grovel for the IC's affection.
If Elain could sense Lucien’s presence and his heart beating through the stone when she was in her fugue state, what must have it been like to be under the same roof as him on Solstice night?
Lucien had taken up residence in an apartment the day after he turned from battle. Elain and Lucien weren’t sleeping under the same roof for over a year. We can assume that Solstice is the first time they do sleep under the same.
Hmmmmmmmmmm.
I absolutely believe that this is the first time she’s forced to “endure” her mating bond with no escape route since the war. So she of course does whatever she can to convince herself the bond doesn’t define her, but even then she realizes she can’t escape the bond.
my favourite thing is characters who just met the person theyre literally going to be wildly in love with for the rest of their lives and theyre like “:/ they’re not all that” this is so embarrassing for u
Just dumping my marketing thoughts, I love that the first activation is heavily Valkyrie-focused.
Now, that doesn't automatically mean the next book is a Valkyrie book, nor does it confirm any specific POV. Marketing activations are rarely one-to-one reflections of a story's protagonist. But they are usually designed to highlight themes, groups, and concepts the publisher believes will resonate with readers and generate engagement.
The Valkyries are arguably one of the biggest additions to the ACOTAR world since the original trilogy.
What's especially worth noting, is how interconnected they are to several ongoing storylines. Nesta is obviously central to the group, but Gwyn was the first a Valkyrie. Emerie is the first Illyrian Valkyrie. Azriel has direct ties to Valkyrie training and development. Cassian helped rebuild the order. Even the wider themes of female empowerment, healing, found family, and reclaiming lost history are embodied through the Valkyries.
From a marketing perspective, they're also an easy win. They appeal to longtime readers who loved ACOSF while remaining accessible to newer readers. You don't need give a shit about war ships to understand the appeal of warrior women rebuilding a legendary order. (only pick me's and women haters would say otherwise)
What makes me think this could connect to the larger plot is that the Valkyries feel less like a completed storyline and more like a foundation that has been laid for future books. Their story never truly ended in ACOSF, it began there and we now this because of HOFAS, and Nesta's involvement and Bryce telling her to find out the meaning of her tattoo.
If the next book is truly moving toward a larger ensemble structure, as many suspect, the Valkyries are one of the few elements that naturally connect multiple characters and plotlines. They can tie Nesta to the narrative without requiring her to remain the sole focus. They connect to Gwyn, Emerie, Cassian, and Azriel. They potentially connect to the Illyrian conflict. They represent a growing power structure within Prythian itself.
That's why I don't necessarily view a Valkyrie-focused activation as evidence of one specific character leading the next book. Instead, I see it as evidence that the Valkyries themselves remain important to the future of the series. Just as Elain and Lucien do. If this is the first major piece of activations we're seeing, it may be because the Valkyries have become part of the backbone of the world moving forward.
Now, I also will not be surprised to see other activations focused on Elain (a garden tea party would be so cute) Feysand, maybe some court themed activations, really there is a lot for BB and SJM to tap into if they have a smart marketing and PR team!
So whether the next book centers one couple, or a multi-POV structure, it's actually difficult to imagine a future ACOTAR story that doesn't involve the Valkyries in some meaningful way, especially knowing these characters were inspired by SJM's friends. The groundwork has already been laid.
"Lucien isn’t man enough to be a SJM love interest”
Baby, THANK GOD. That’s my whole point. I don’t need another Rhysand copy. Coming from a Feysand girl btw.
I’m saying something insane rn:
I could not care less whether he can fight or what powers he has. The hyper-masculinity propaganda has fully lost me. I need my man goofy. Let him be everything but nonchalant.
More diversity in fantasy male personalities!!!
Anya's not just part of the mission anymore, she's a part of Twilight himself
protecting her is instinct for Twilight now, she's just as important to him as his own life- which he values for the intel he carries- and Anya's in stride with him wherever he goes.
He loves his daughter so much and doesn't even fully realize it
