Got banned from reddit for 3 days for sharing some true encounters with a group of people and apparently that was considered hate speech....I didn't realise that the mods pick and choose what offends them and what doesn't.

Does anyone else mutter "I hate this fucking level", whenever they are watching the scene in Aladdin where he's trying to escape the Cave of Wonders on Carpet?

It's been 30 years and I'm still salty about it.

I work at a detox centre and as I was serving food at work today, this interaction happened:

Me: "would you like butternut squash?"

Patient: "no thank you, that's black people food.

Me: *blinking guy meme* o...k

Patient: "well it is, isn't it?

Instantly I've gone from liking him to disliking him, not only is he racist, he doesn't know that I have Jamaican relatives so that's 2 strikes in my book. But I am a professional and my customer service smile is so fixed on my face that I can bearly utter the words: "no comment" with as a neutral tone I could muster.

I used to like this guy before I found out that he was a massive racist.

Did I miss the memo?

Since when has butternut squash been a 'black persons food'?
