Thanks to the lovely anon who's been sending questions! I have two asks drafted that I do plan to reply to, as they're really good headcanon material. Whoever you are, thanks for giving me reasons to keep on developing Syrenne's character <3 very much appreciated! I just need a bit more time and maybe a replay of The Last Story to get back to my muse.

At his words, the mercenary had to turn around and face him with a playful (if not devious) smile. Hand on her waist, she spoke with no remorse whatsoever; "M’sorry dear, it’s just that yer too bloody adorable –couldn’t help myself."

ooc; ok so headcanon time because I can.

In my mind Syrenne was the first to join Dagran and Zael, and this she did out of necessity. Let’s not forget she has issues trusting men for the way they’d acted back at her homeland during the war, and the fact both males made this stubborn lass open up enough for her to later consider them family it’s a feat in itself.

So yes, Dagran became pretty damn important to her. But then again, so did Zael.

According to the way I interpret my muse in that respect, she never really got to feel any kind of infatuation or crush towards the older man. It was a matter of priorities, because at the time they met she really didn’t have it in her to feel like that, much less towards someone she barely knew; then Lowell showed up shortly after and… well, simply put, she did not have the energy to focus on romance, and when she finally did, her attention was drawn to someone else.

But there’s no doubt the raven-haired man was (and still is) important to Syrenne. There had been a mutual respect and a bond forged through dangerous missions and nights of drinking. Betrayal or not, she’d probably yell at his tombstone in anger as much as she tells stories with a smile on her face while in its presence; for as much as she sometimes would want to hate his guts for bringing them so much misery in his last moments among the living, deep affection is too present and too much for hate to make its way to her heart. Dagran pretty much presented Syrenne with a chance at a new life, also giving her a new family (not to mention that in a sense he had been the one to bring Lowell back to them, with the power of the Outsider), and she cannot just erase that from her memory –there are too many good moments involved that she treasures and holds dear.

When sending a text message, even if she often cuts some words depending on how fast she's writing, Syrenne shows she has decent orthography in most cases; contrary to when she talks, as her own accent usually gives away the impression she's eating off a bunch of letters. The redhead is also going to send as many messages as phrases cross her mind –she won't write you up a nice paragraph with an idea, no; she's going to rant, and she's going to send line after line of text.

Movements still as she stops breathing for an instant, eyebrows arching high in shock whilst emerald ponds look at him unfocused and unbelieving. The action was so sudden and unexpected, her brain had to take a few seconds to react properly –for as much as she tried to utter any sound, her vocal chords just didn’t comply. Just something akin to a growl got pass her lips.

She wasn’t prepared for this. Not one bit.

Confusion soon led to discomfort, then to anger (directed at him? At herself?), and she couldn’t take it anymore. She had to get away from the other mercenary, or she would end up punching him in utter frustration.

Not that that had been anything new, but still... 

Fuming, trying to keep at bay a blush that had already spread through her whole face, she snarled at the space in front of her once more –not at him; she had to avoid eye contact at all cost for some reason– before turning around and stomping away from the blond.

When thoughtful, Syrenne has the habit of reaching for her necklace with a hand, rolling and/or caressing the pendant with her thumb and forefinger. This is one of the most relaxed stances anyone could ever find her in, and it usually happens when she's alone and musing about something of major importance to her.
