Coming from the Panini Russian Premier League 2021/22 set (#172) He has represented Russia internationally but it considering changing his nationality to Armenian in order to get better work permit options. I don't know how this is possible considering he has already played for Russia. We will have to wait for the resolution.

Mail Day XI’s

I recently bought a 32 card lot consisting of Calcio Cards 98 and I thought of a cool new segment; making an XI from mail days. Put simple, making the best team you can from the cards/stickers you get in a lot. Best when it’s a random lot like this one.

Based on my options and lack of defenders I have gone with a flat 442.

LB: Jörg Heinrich

LCB: Siniša Mihajlović

RCB: Alessandro Nesta

RB: Diego Simeone

LM: Youri Djorkaeff

LCM: Hidetoshi Nakata

RCM: Zinedine Zidane

RM: Diego Fuser

ST: Hernán Crespo

ST:Nicola Ventola

Due to lack of options, I had to play Simeone right back. But in general, I think a pretty decent team for a 32 card lot. Luckily there was Konsel or else there would have been no keeper!

I recently did a blog on the latest young gun to come out of Russia. His name is Eduard Spertsyan. He is an Armenian/Russian national but has opted to play for the Armenian national team.
