💥 Girl Power!!! 💥 I was only 13 when the spice girls came out in 1994...and this was the phrase they said a lot, they kinda started that whole ✌️thang didn't they?! For me, it was the first time that girls weren't trying to be solely seductive but more vibin about having fun with their friends! 🎶 "if you wanna be my lover, ya gotta get with my friends!"🎶 I loved it, and although I recently read that they weren't planning on starting that whole wave of feminism, (they were just hacked off with all the sexism in the industry) they kinda did for me and I was a huge fan! Who remembers Geri's Union Jack dress!? 🇬🇧 My memory of that day though was Mel C grabbing the mic as the Spice Girls collected their gong for Best Single, and shouting  "I just wanna say, Liam (Gallagher) Come and 'ave a go if you think you're hard enough!"
