This is the blog for the Scribbles Events hosted by Society & Soels.
We will announce each event prior to the start of the month it takes place in. Every event will have different themes and prompts with rules and guidelines listed. Once the events are complete links to the works will be posted below.
June Jukebox Scribbles was one whole month of turning up the volume, grooving along, and letting the music muses take us all out for a dance.
This event invited writers to take a song (or a lyric line) make it their own.
We opened up the dance floor for you all and you all really gave us something to devour! Every day brought a different track, a different tone, and a different chance to find the beat. The results were exactly what we hoped for: soft ballads, smutty little numbers, angst-filled slow dances, domestic harmonies, dangerous riffs, funny little remixes, and everything in between.
And once again, you all absolutely blew us away.
This time we had 46 writers join the lineup, including 25 returning writers and 21 new writers stepping up to the mic. Together, you created 882 entries and an incredible combined total of 281,745 words.
We also had 13 Complete Collectors, who managed to write for every single day of the event, which deserves a standing ovation all on its own.
As always, we kept track of the character tally too, because apparently we do like knowing which babes had the most time in the spotlight. It probably goes without saying that Bucky Barnes took the top spot overall with 246 entries. This time Congressman Barnes topped the charts with 38 entries.
The top five babes for June Jukebox were:
Steve Rogers - 75 entries
Din Djarin - 30 entries (Shout out to @jobean12-blog for this contribution)
Dean Winchester - 29 entries
Loki - 26 entries
Lee Bodecker - 19 entries
Below you’ll find links to each participating writer’s June Jukebox Scribbles masterlist, showcasing their individual fills for the event. Whether someone posted one piece, a handful of tracks, or played the whole month from start to finish, every contribution helped make this jukebox sing.
A huge thank you to every writer who joined in, every reader who followed along, every person who reblogged, commented, cheered, shared, or helped keep the music going. Scribbles events are never just about the writing. They are about community, encouragement, creativity, and watching people find their rhythm in their own way.
And finally, the biggest thank you to the amazing @buckybarnesfic, who once again kept the spreadsheet spinning, tracked entries, tallied the babes, counted the words, helped keep the event organised, and still somehow submitted her own pieces too. Absolute legend behaviour.
Thank you for hitting play with us.
The jukebox was loud.
The dance floor was full.
And every single one of you brought your own kind of music.

Cool cats, jitterbugs, and jukebox darlings….we’re officially over the the halfway mark!
We just wanted to take a moment to say a huge thank you to everyone who has been part of the event so far. Whether you’ve been posting, reading along, reblogging, cheering people on, or quietly vibing with the prompts, you’ve helped make this event feel so full of creativity, support, and fandom love.
It has been wonderful seeing everyone find their beat, spin the prompts in their own way, and share so many different sounds across the dash.
Just a couple of gentle housekeeping reminders as we keep the music playing:
Please make sure you are tagging your entries with #JuneJukeboxScribbles so we can find them, reblog them, and keep track of all your amazing work.
We would also really appreciate it if everyone could include a word count on their posts.
For any swap outs, please make sure you clearly note which day/prompt you are swapping for. There have been a few swap outs posted without the day listed, and it can get a little confusing when we’re trying to track counts, characters and prompts behind the scenes. Especially with those pesky time zones!
Nothing scary, nothing strict… just a little help to keep the record spinning smoothly for everyone.
We’ve also seen quite a few masterlists already from various authors. If you don’t have a masterlist for whatever reason (and that’s perfectly fine) and you have no intention of creating one, please think about where you would like your name linked to (your main blog or side blog if you have one) when we share the big masterlist.
On the 24th of June we will message anyone who we do not have a master link for to confirm. But if you would like to send your link beforehand, that would be much appreciated!
For anyone planning to create a masterlist, we’ll need those links sent to us or posted for us to collect between the 24th and 30th of June so we can include everything accurately.
Thank you again for jumping in, spreading the vibes, and making June Jukebox Scribbles such a joy to watch unfold.
Keep posting, keep reblogging, keep finding your jive, we can’t wait to see what the second half brings.
Alright, cool cats, it’s time to find your groove, and let the music lead the way.
For June, we’re trying something a little different… but don’t worry, the beat stays the same. There will still be an allocated prompt every day, only this time each prompt will be a song. The full setlist is below.
For anyone who feels a little uncertain, or doesn’t want the pressure of choosing where to start, we’ve also picked a line from each song to help narrow things down as a second option.
But for anyone feeling adventurous? You can absolutely choose another line from the song instead.
Your Scribble must contain at least one line from the song. It does not have to be the line we picked, and you’re welcome to use multiple lines if the music moves you.
We’ve also created a playlist so you can listen along with the full prompt list and really get into the June Jukebox mood.
The Goal: Write a Scribble of 300 words max, including the prompt/lyric line. We’d love people to try and stay as close to that as possible, but we’re here for the vibes, not to slap anyone with a ruler.
The Timing: You have until the end of the day in your own time zone to complete and submit each prompt.
The Swap-Outs: If a certain day’s song isn’t your jam, don’t stress. We’ve made sure there are options to swap out, so you can still keep the music playing.
Rules / Guidelines:
The final day for submissions is July 1st, end of the day in your own time zone. Please be aware that any entries submitted after this will not be added to the event masterlist.
For the event masterlist, we will link any users who have created their own Scribbles masterlist. For anyone who has not created a masterlist, we will link to their preferred profile instead. For example, if you have a sideblog, we will confirm this with you.
Please use the tag #JuneJukeboxScribbles (no spaces) so we can find your creations. Please do not use the tag after the event has ended. You’re also welcome to tag @societynsoelsscribbles if you wish.
Please use appropriate warnings for explicit content, non-con, triggers, etc.
Hard no content: No incest, underage, bestiality, or necrophilia.
Any 18+ entries must be posted by an 18+ listed blog to be included.
Here are no limits on the number of submissions for a prompt. Do as many as you like, just remember to use the #JuneJukeboxScribbles tag!
The target is 300 words, but should you go over, we will not scold, fine, or ban you… as long as you deliver (but please.. try)
The possibilities are endless. Any fandom, pairing, reader insert, OC, character, ship, tone, or genre is welcome; smut, fluff, angst, crack, horror, romance, heartbreak, whatever beat you hear.
Join as often or as little as you like. There is absolutely no pressure. Whether you drop one track or complete the whole album, we’re thrilled to have you playing along.
You can use our event header for your own entries or masterlist, but please credit Society.
So warm up the jukebox, spread the sound and get ready to jive to your own funk… Drum roll please!!!

This is just an intro for those new to our events and a refresher for those who have previously joined one / both of our Scribbles events.
Our next event is… June Jukebox! We’ve compiled a selection of songs from the 1950’s to the 2020’s. There is a varied range with tunes that were in the charts, are lesser known and a personal choice from each of us. The playlist / rules for this specific event will follow in the next few days.
Just a little background about Scribbles for those new to this. It all started with two people grumping about their inability to write anything ‘short’. At first the idea was to just challenge each other with a prompt and stay below a certain word count. But then it appeared others suffered the same affliction. So it was decided to make a month long public event with a daily prompt and a maximum 300 word count.
The response we received for both rounds so far has honestly been staggering. Not only in the amount of entries, range of characters / fandoms or variations on using the same prompts. But also in the feedback we’ve received. How a writer used this to start writing again or for the first time, to try a new character, step out of their comfort zone or use it as a tester for ideas. A lot have seen it as a personal challenge. Some have even expanded or continued from the Scribbles they have submitted into bigger pieces or multi part arcs. Whatever the reason, we’re just blown away that so many of you have participated and also spread the word.
A few mentions were made about badges so there will be a poll to see if there’s interest!
We just wanted to say a few things before the next round.
300 words can seem daunting whether it’s your first piece and you’re struggling to reach that amount or you’re a seasoned pro trying to reduce the word count. The submissions can be less than 300, nowhere have we set a minimum amount. But it’s also a chance to test your editing talents! To work to a limit if you can…
The majority of our entries have been Marvel (specifically Bucky Barnes) themed. But please DO NOT let that discourage you from joining. Use this as a chance to try other characters or fandoms. New or old. Niche or well known. Please join us. You never know, your piece might be the one to entice someone to join that fandom!
We love seeing familiar and fresh faces join the fun whether it is just to help spread the word or participate. Whether you want to do one prompt or all of them we welcome any participation.
We hope to see you for the next event and anticipate the wonderful creations that will be produced! Keep your eyes peeled for updates, we’ll be back soon!
First just a heads up if any of you receive notifications for our page. We’re going to be using tags going forward to separate the different types of posts. Please use the below if you wish to filter any out.

Also just wanted to let all of you know we are currently brainstorming for our next event. It will be in June and will be music themed. Tune in the last two weeks of May for the next event update!
Our January Jumble Scribbles was a chaotic, creative, mixed-bag writing event designed to kick off the new year with momentum.
Unlike Sexy September, this challenge wasn’t about a single tone or theme. Instead, each day delivered a jumble of quotes, lyrics, prompts, and spicy lines, giving writers full freedom to interpret them however they liked.
Once again the results have far surpassed what we hoped. This time we had 63 authors who contributed 904 wonderful pieces of variety. Thank you to every single writer who joined us whether you posted once or every day, your creativity made this event what it was. Also a big thank you to those who helped spread the word and supported the participants.
There were some new characters and fandoms included which was incredible. Along with participants and their entries we also kept a tally of character popularity. It probably goes without saying that Bucky Barnes had the highest amount of fics and the most popular Bucky was Thunderbolts / New Avengers. The top five excluding Bucky were Steve Rogers (50) , Lee Bodecker (49) , Clark Kent (46) , Loki (36) and Steve Harrington (26).
Below you’ll find links to each participating writer’s January Jumble Scribbles masterlist, showcasing their individual fills for the event.
Finally a big thank you from us to everyone but most especially to the amazing @buckybarnesfic who once again kept on top of the spreadsheet, kept tally of the babes while also submitting her own entries. ♥️

Unfortunately, I missed the start of January Jumble Scribbles, but I would love to participate in a challenge for February. Do you guys plan on making one?
Hello lovely!
There are still a few days left for January if you wish to participate 😊
Sorry to say there won’t be a February Scribble (this year anyway)
We have talked about future Scribbles but haven’t confirmed when they will be but we’d like to space them throughout the year. Watch this space for the next Scribbles event. But there will be more of them!
Additionally both of us are actually involved in a few events as well as the Scribbles. Below are a few events that are currently running or due to start in February if you wish to join in.

Hi! Was just wondering if you mind me using the January Jumble Scribbles graphic to make a header for my entry masterlist. Just wanted to pop my name on it 🥰 thank you! ❤️
Hello lovely!
So so sorry for the delay in responding. 🙈
Yes please do feel free to use the banner but please credit Society as it is her work!
First of all an apology from Soels - a few of you have sent asks / private messages and for some reason the notifications have not appeared though one of my devices is set to show Tumblr notifications for this account. So a thousand apologies, I solemnly swear you were not being ignored. Oversight on my part. Bad Soels.
Now onto the good stuff -
As of today… WE HAVE REACHED 600 SCRIBBLES! Considering the end count for September was 698 scribbles this is AMAZING!
So we’re just under two weeks to the end of January! To date we have 43 masterlists out of 61 writers.
If you don’t have a masterlist for whatever reason (and that’s perfectly fine) and you have no intention of creating one, please think about where you would like your name linked to (your main blog or side blog if you have one) when we share the big masterlist.
On the 24th of January we will message anyone who we do not have a master link for to confirm. But if you would like to send your link beforehand, that would be much appreciated!
For anyone planning to create a masterlist, we’ll need those links sent to us or posted for us to collect between the 24th and 31st of January so we can include everything accurately.
Thank you again for participating in our event whether it’s been one day or every day we are truly touched.
Hello everyone! Our September Scribbles was such a success that we wanted to do another event and what better time than the New Year to dust off those cobwebs and hopefully get those juices flowing?
The concept is the same as before:
- Every day will have an allocated prompt (a song lyric, quote or spicy line)
- The goal is to write a 300 word max snippet (including the prompt)
- You have until the end of the day in your own time zone to complete and submit
- If you don’t like the prompt for a certain day there are options to swap out
Rules / Guidelines:
- The final day for submissions is February First (end of the day in your time zone). Please be aware that any entries after this will not be added to our event masterlist.
- Regarding the event masterlist, we will link any users who have created their own scribbles masterlist. For anyone who has NOT created a masterlist we will link to their preferred profile (e.g. if you have a sideblog - we will confirm this with you)
- Please use the tag #JanuaryJumbleScribbles (NO SPACES) - so we can find your creations. Please do not use the tag after the event has ended.
- Please use the appropriate warnings for explicit / non con / triggers etc (NO INCEST, UNDERAGED, BESTIALITY OR NECROPHILIA)
- Any 18+ entries must be posted by an 18+ listed blog to be included
- There are no limits to the amount of submissions for a prompt. Do as many as you like, just remember to use the tag!
- The target is 300 words, but once again, should you exceed we will not scold/fine/ban you… as long as you deliver 🤭
- The possibilities are ENDLESS. So please feel free to submit whatever fandom, pairing or tone (smut, fluff or angst) you imagine!
- Please join as often or little as you like - no pressure at all!

Alternatives for swapping
I'll be stronger in your eyes than I could ever be in my own.
“How could something so real be so quickly erased?”
“You behave so much better when I have my hands on you.”
I represent to you all the sins you never had the courage to commit.
Happy New Year and hope you’re enjoying the prompts!
As of EOD 4th January we have had 138 entries from 47 writers… 26 of whom are new to our little venture! Welcome newcomers!
This response is once again far more than we anticipated and we hope to see more.
First of all we owe a HUMUNGOUS shout out to @buckybarnesfic who once again volunteered to help us keep track of all the entries. Bless you B for helping organize all the chaos! 💋
Second, it has been noticed that some of you are either not using the tags or entering them incorrectly. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE use the tags as it helps us to find your entries. The last thing we want is to miss anyone when creating the event master list. The main tag for this event is #JanuaryJumbleScribbles (NO SPACES). If you wish to also tag the blog #Societynsoelsscribbles please feel free to do so.
Enjoy the prompts and we look forward to the creations you’ll share with us!
