yea okay i get the hype about Darkest Dungeon. However thr game despite my choices threw me on the added difficulty which is. Difficult. Also it's turning me into your average newspaper doctor. "You're stressed? Dont you know that stress KILLS?? Stop being stressed!"

(also, "dont get attached to the heroes"? Impossible. My first abomination had an automatically generated name Pipi. And if (when) he dies i'm blowing the whole mansion up)

Gamer PC™ notions thus far:

The beast is too fucking big and that is, in fact, genuinely stressing me out. I don't love the case at all, but alas due to the GPU (of all things!!) it couldnt really be smaller. The tempered glass makes me nervous. The case is the only thibg that's actually making me consider returning it. However afaik this seems to be the standard size for gaming and other such pc's.

Fourteen (14) cores and none of them constantly overheating (max temp when trying out games yesterday was 56 degrees celsius. GPU as well. Woag!) is new to me. I don't hate it.

I've been counting the prices of the components and tax and everything since saturday to tell myself I got ripped off and need to return the pc. But it still unfortunately seems like I did get a good deal. Fuck.

Former also includes the fact that this has 2tb ssd and 2 more slots available. And 32gb ddr5 ram. With... what the fuck. 4 more slots available. Who the shit needs that much ram. For what.

Microsoft has given up forcing account registration. Lobotomizing this thing has been pleasantly easy.

We have to start beating up game devs, indie or otherwise. There is no excuse for graphics to be this demanding. This is not a low or mid tier pc and STILL high settings are unreachable. That is fucked.

#the one issue i can't get over is unrelated to the pc and it's that a cat stabbed my monitor with a single claw #i love the monitor and now there's a cluster of like 4 dead bright white pixels off-center on the left #makes me sweat big time

alright i'm feeling slightly better about the pc purchase bc when i picked it up, while salesman 1 went to get more receipt paper, salesman 2 was looking from much further away at the big box, and then with a very turtle-like neck movement, zoomed in to read the specs and just quietly went " :O now that's a decent machine" & started reading them to the salesman 1 who also went "huh. no need to update that thing for a while". when outside i heard salesman 2 ask if they still have them in stock on the discounted price.

#still asked if it can be returned for whatever reason and if i need to do anything before doing that #the instruction was ''do not leave us trojans''#aye i can do that

it is done. now it's just a week of waiting until it's time to pay and try not to piss and shit and throw up and pass out when going to get the pc and pay. this is the single most expensive thing i've ever ordered. my spine hurts.
