All the times you took a moment and enhanced it...

but all I get is remnants of you that come like hot flashes...

All we are is a product of collateral

To the battles we were fighting inside

Both with open wounds, that we tried to hide

how could I not see we were doomed from the moment we aligned...

there was nothing we could salvage

Our paths should have never intertwined

Two voices

I hear two voices in my head

They shout, talk over eachother and yell

I do my best to not listen

Their losing their patience

One tells me to hang on to keep on resisting

That it will all sort out if I continue persisting

It says to ignore the demons that come to play

Insisting I’m normal despite what they say

Then the other voice says I’m worthless

It recites all my failures and pains

Making recognize every single mistake

My insecurities it parades

Like a broken record they play

The voices argue back and forth

They’ll keep on rocking until they tip the boat

Then watch me drown in all my madness

And lift me up in times of sadness

& I still can’t wrap it around my head

Do the voices care or want me dead?

That Girl

I'm not that girl I'm never gonna win Never got along with the world So with an empty heart and busted mind is how it will end And I'm ok with that fate Because it's better than anything I'll ever create You see I'm not that girl A symphony of failure is all I'll be But my heart still twirls At the thought of a new beginning Processing these thoughts and weaving but at the end of the day I am still just dreaming To one day be that girl The one whose high above Dreams achieved This was never easy for me white picket fence love? Does wanting such simple things make me dense? I just wanna be like the rest Happy and content But I'm not that girl Kicked and dragged through the dirt I still wash out the stains from my shirt the smell of detergent is the only time I'm satisfied And how I wish that last sentence were a lie.... It's only fair to cry around this time Because even without the fire I'll always end up burned Because I'm not that girl And how I wish this ended on better terms...

Unfulfilled Promises

You were suppose to be the light at the end of the tunnel But you must've gotten lost between all the debris and rubble The voices inside my head chant I wasn't worth the trouble And my demons are happy once again Because I'm left alone without a single person to depend Do I turn to them? You were suppose to fix me Find the root of it all and where my insecurities stem You said you fixed people then left But you didn't finish with me I want to accuse you of theft But there was nothing to steal, I was always empty

‘And I wonder, where I’ll be in 10 years at 12 pm noon. In the middle of the day. It’s complex thought. A definitive time for the majority. Will I live a conventional life, spend it in a cuticle eating lunch? Eating brunch with my closest friends? In a foreign place taking in the day? These thoughts race through my mind often. But more than anything I imagine who I will be with at 12 pm 10 years from now. I can never shake the fear that perhaps at 12 pm noon I will be by myself remembering a time I was happy at 12 pm noon.’

My Experience With Love

How many times do I have to fall in love until I die because I can't survive the trauma? Life isn't a soap opera And I keep sinking deeper everytime I'm not loved back It takes a toll on my sanity and heart But I keep falling in love I fell in love with the pretty words you fill my hollow head with Or the way you bit your lip Maybe it was just the way you made me feel like I was the only one When we would stay up late In highschool and talk until 1 Or was it because I feared ending up alone without someone? It's all so pathetic to believe that my happy ending would come after all the bullshit But here I am in falling in love again And this time I swear it's so different He fills me with so much wisdom It's like my mind is free out of this prison And it doesn't matter that we're not calling it anything Because he says it's more than just a fling And of course I believed it I believed everything That was the problem He thought I was too naive And maybe this was true Because once again I'm on my bathroom floor at 3 am Clutching on to every remnant of him I guess it wasn't different Maybe I'll learn next time I tell myself as I vow to stay away from guys But that's a lie Because once again I'm in love again It hasn't even been three months But I swear this is new And I'll slit my wrist if this ones doesn't turn out to be different Because he says he can be my person He really does care He listens to me at 3 am when no one else dares He says he can fix me That he fixes broken people then leaves... But he's seen me at my worst And still called me beautiful That makes me feel so secure And for once I think someone's being sincere That he's my happy ending after all the bad I've persevered... Three loves in one year Three loves that don't account for all my tears But I continue to fall in love Why you may ask ? Perhaps In hopes that it'll fix me Fill up my hollow insides Give me the person I'm yearning for so much Because Me alone was never enough But I'm weak
