another poem i wrote in light of the current state of our nation.
and we will find our light in the dark. the flames of rebellion will guide our path to a freedom stolen from us.
and we will rise from the ashes, triumphant and strong. basking in the glow of a sacrifice that has been made time and time again.
and we will plant seeds of change. make our ancestors proud of the generations they created. to honor their legacy.
and we will sing our praises to the Lord. for He will pull us through another storm. He will not leave His children alone in their time of need.
and we will stay strong in our beliefs. refusing to back down and submit to a system that has long been abused by those in power.
and we will nurture a culture of education and hope. so that one day our children may live in the peace once dreamt up for us.
and we will love one another because only through love can we stand together and succeed in making a change.
and we will overcome the struggles and roadblocks placed in our path. the crushing weight of doubts shoved unto us.
and we will feel every ounce of pain, suffering, fear, and anger to use as fuel to propel us into a new and brighter future.
and we will scream and cry and fight for a country that has too often taken for granted the people who built it.
and we will know that our suffering has not been in vain. but rather it is a force to be reckoned with and revered.
and we will find peace in a world that so desperately wants to rip it from us. much like our childhood and innocence.
and we will march through the streets until our souls run weary and our soles run thin. knowing that we cannot stop until weāre free.
and we will reach into the future in the hopes of grasping tight to a better tomorrow. one in which there is no fear in being who you are.
and we will stand tall in the face of our enemies. for they know not what they do. they know not the chaos they have brought.
and we will search for answers and solutions until there comes a day that we can rest and find solace in a job well done.
and we will push until there is no man, woman. or child held captive to the throws of a corrupted society expected to protect them.
