[5:11pm] siren!taeil is startled when you burst into the room suddenly, interrupting his singing session. he gasps, “you didn’t hear anything, right?”
you furrow your eyebrows, “no? should i have heard something?”
“no, never mind,” he shakes his head. “so, who are you and why are you here?”
“oh! right,” you say. “i’m y/n, also a music major. i actually have a singing competition coming up and i need someone to duet with me. the only person i’ve been thinking of was you, so can you please help me out?”
he breathed out, “you clearly haven’t heard the rumours of me, have you?”
“oh, the rumours of you being a siren?” you say flatly. “that can only mean you sing well,”
he asks, “why are you so nonchalant about this? is it because you don’t believe the rumours?” to which you reply with “well, yeah. sirens don’t exist.”
“can i tell you something?” he smiles. “i’m actually a siren. the rumours about me are true.”
when you burst out laughing, he can only furrow his eyebrows. “you don’t believe me? i can sing right now and charm you to prove my point.”
“you mean like, fall in love with you? you don’t need to do that, i’ve already fallen.”
there’s a moment of silence before taeil breaks it with a “what?” out of disbelief.
you smile, “so, are you gonna be my partner for the singing competition or not?”
he leans forward until he reaches your side of the table, “i’m a siren, y/n. i can’t sing in public.”
“so, that’s a no then?” you frown. “alright, then. it was fun talking to you.”
“oh, and,” you walk backwards and peek through the door frame. “you sing really well. invite me for your singing sessions next time.” you smirk before leaving taeil in the room, confused and overwhelmed.
