it’s been a year since “protective edge”, the israeli-hamas war that pushed me into quitting tumblr for good. let me tell you, i don’t regret it for a second. a place which used to be a safe, enertaining space for me to get away from real life and enjoy common interests (mostly, tv shows) with like-minded people, became a toxic environment that caused me daily distress and anxiety. but it was one thing to get upset about misogyny in every single thing that surrounds me (which is so, so tiring and did nothing good for me), but it was another to experience blatant antisemitism and ignorance from people that i considered my friends. literally ONE person cared and asked about my well being while MY COUNTRY WAS AT WAR (she’s also the only one i kept contact with since quitting tumblr, even though we literally only knew each other for a few months - shout out to the loveliest dinie) and i just felt so alone and grossed out and i couldn’t believe that after 4 years on this website, i didn’t gain any true friends.
now, my point is - i don’t care. i don’t care about any of you any more than you care about me (which is zero but fine i let it go), and i always try to stop myself from googling anything on the issue, but stuff slips through the cracks (snapchat distressed me so much.), and i get so upset, because everyone is ignorant and brainwashed by the hamas propaganda. i don’t have the will or the energy to go into the whole issue rn (because let’s face it no one is actually going to read this), but i’m always willing to share ACTUAL FACTS that y’all don’t bother to know (like, the reason why “protective edge” started, which is the kidnapping and further killing of three innocent jewish israeli boys. our coutnry literally will never care enough to randomly start bombing gaza. WE DON’T CAREEEE), and if there’s a shred of respect for me in any of you, please try and get proper education on the issue. don’t get brainwashed by one-sided propaganda coming from a terrorist organization that liteally murders its own people. there’s so much you literally just now because all of the media represent the “oppresed” side of the issue (HELLO LITERALLY A TERRORIST ORGANIZATION), so please please please try and bother to get a little more information sometimes.
also, i’m proudly joining the israeli defense army on my 19th birthday, 11.11.2015, and i will gladly serve my wonderful country - while y’all continue to spread ignorance and garbage all over the jews, who are SOMEHOW always at fault. please get your heads out of your butts and turn your attention to actual oppresion and terror happening in the world, like that horrible shooting in tunisia or the war currently happening in yemen. the second jews get involved, the world riots over a tiny country of people who have been oppressed and systematically killed throughout the entire history. what you don’t hear about is the amount of terror attacks that happen here way too much (6 terror attacks in 2 weeks sound normal?) and the red alarms that go off almost every week in the south (close to gaza).
bottom line: STAY PRESSED AND THANKS FOR NOTHING
