have you seen ( Saffron Lili Reynolds, she/her )? They look a lot like ( Zendaya ). The ( 32 ) year old ( office manager at Reynolds Ranch ) is so ( confident, charming, expressive ) but I heard they can also be really ( stubborn, jittery, reckless ). Can you believe they’ve been in town for ( their whole life)?! They live in the ( Manchester Park ) neighborhood and kind of remind me of ( wardrobe mixes sporty streetwear with delicate, feminine pieces. Quiet luxury. Neutral tones ) If I was asked, I’d guess that they were ( most likely to go viral ) in their yearbook for the class of ( 2012 ).

Saffron was born and raised in Carroll. She comes from one of the town’s founding families—the generational owners of Reynolds Ranch and Farm. Her parents are extremely wealthy, their land, livestock, and business bringing in more money than most families in town could imagine. Despite this, Saffron rarely draws attention to her family's wealth and prefers to be judged by who she is rather than what she has.
She has a twin sister, Sutton, and a younger sister, Aspen, who was born prematurely and spent much of her early life requiring extra care and attention. As children, Saffron often felt overlooked as her parents focused on Aspen's health and wellbeing, creating feelings of jealousy and resentment that she struggled to understand at the time. As they grew older, however, their relationship improved, and Saffron became fiercely protective of both of her sisters.
The Reynolds sisters could not have been more different. Sutton was academically driven and compassionate, eventually pursuing a career in nursing, while Saffron was a tomboy who preferred getting dirty, helping around the ranch, and spending time outdoors. She gravitated toward traditionally masculine hobbies and responsibilities, which helped forge a close bond with her older half-brother, Holden, who often treated her like his right-hand partner around the farm. Aspen, meanwhile, developed her own path, adding another dynamic to the close-knit but sometimes complicated family.
In high school she advanced to the varsity basketball team early, all thanks to her brother Holden, who pushed her harder than anyone else ever did. He was the one dragging her out to practice, running drills with her until her legs gave out, and refusing to let her quit when things got tough.
After graduating high school, Saffron attended business college, where she focused on administrative studies and office management. She was a dedicated student who preferred structure and routine, earning a reputation for being organized and dependable. Once she completed her studies, she accepted a position at Reynolds Farm, her family's farm, working in the main office. There, she handled paperwork, scheduling, records, and day-to-day administrative tasks that helped keep the farm running smoothly.

He was busy working on one of the old farm trucks when Saff texted him for the coffee run, needing the caffeine boost because he was also exhausted. Having been talked off the proverbial ledge by Penny and Jesse, and then most shockingly Autumn, Holden had been doing his best to just get on with things. To rebury his familial insecurities and remind himself that men didn't cry. Literally or metaphorically. Just like his father and his before him, he wasn't allowed to fall apart. He too much riding on his shoulders to feel too much. But if only he'd known just how much he took after his mom he could change that patriarchal misbelief.
"Thanks, Saff," he said with a quick smile and nod of his head as he took his drink, setting the bag with the snack up under the hood for later. "You buddy Nate get all his paperwork done ta start tomorrow?" he asked as he mixed in the cream and sugar and took a drink.
It seemed like the Reynolds family drama never ended. When one door closes another opened. Saffron tried her best to stay out of it but it always went to her head. Trying to think logically and not make a scene at the next family meeting. Despite having different moms, she never saw Holden any differently.
Holden had his friends, and Saffron had hers..mostly. She had gotten close with Evie and Nathan lately being a good distraction. Then there's Ryker who was gone temporarily in rehab. Even if he had been Holden's friend first, Ryker had become one of Saffron's closest friends too.
"Sure." Saffron replied, it was just a normal routine to grab him coffee. Cake pop was just an additional bonus. "Uh..yeah. He's excited. Not sure what made him want to work here but I'm glad I could be of help." Taking a sip from her coffee before speaking again. "I'm glad you're home. I was starting to lose my mind, a little."
Evie's eyes dropped to the bag in Saffron's hand before lifting back to her face, her expression softening. ❝ Hey, don't apologize. That's what friends are for, right? Besides, I think carrying all of that around by yourself would've been way worse. ❞ She squeezed her shoulder gently. ❝ And Ryker sounds exactly like the guy we all know. The kind that shows up when people need him, even when he's got his own demons breathing down his neck. That's why everybody loves him. And hey, you know what. I'm that girl for you always. ❞ She promised with a smile because she did want to be there for Saffron, all of her friends really because it made her forget about her own problems that brewed.
Her gaze flicked back to the bag and she let out a small sigh before taking it from her. ❝ If you don't want it, then I'll hold onto it for now. But Saff? I'm proud of you for making that choice. Especially with everything going on. ❞ A faint smile tugged at her lips. Most of the time Evie drank or did drugs while at Eden, with Naomi or a really hard time. Alcohol was her choice with a drug here or there on the side when it was offered.
"Right." She said softly. It would have been worse if she held it in too long. It would have destroyed her emotionally. Maybe it was because she cared too much. Even if her family made her crazy she still loved them. "Even with his own demons, he is a good guy. You don't see that a lot." She twitched her fingers some, she liked the distraction from the drama and everything in general. Even if she was an adult sometimes she felt like she was still a kid, at least at heart.
"I don't think it's for me." Saffron shook her head. "I had a moment where I just wanted to do something, adrenaline rush but then I just can't...I can't." Leaning forward she wrapped her arms around her friend, pulling her into a hug. Crying silently. "I'm just so tired of the bullshit."
Saffron had done a quick Starbucks run. Holden's usual a venti black with some sugar and cream, water bottle, her iced caramel macchiato and a couple cake pops. Coming back she had parked and brought everything inside. Peeking out the window she saw her brother still at it. Taking a sip from her drink then walking out with his coffee, water and cake pop. "Coffee delivery."
This wasn't exactly the start of their interaction that Evie was expecting, getting dragged by her hand to head out the back of the restaurant into the cooler air. Not that she really minded as she knew Saffron clearly needed to get something off of her chest and there it was. An explosion, everything poured out all at once as she blinked. ❝ Okay first, we breathe. ❞ She told her as her hands rested on her shoulders, doing a deep breathe in and out to show her. ❝ Second, this Brittany person just wants to throw out gossip and shade to stir things up. I mean, how do we know if anything is actually true or not? I mean, is there real proof that it happened or just words being thrown out? I know it's not going to be easy right now, maybe not even next week, but... If I know one thing it's that everything blows over eventually and your family will come out stronger on the other end. ❞ She tried to look on the brighter side for her. ❝ Third, didn't realize you had a crush on Ryker before, besides the point, we all miss him, like crazy. I will miss him every damn day. He's getting the best help he can and it just... happens to be Texas I guess. I won't forget him and I will be here for you at any point. ❞
A breath had come out. She had been holding in too many feelings and her mental health did take a toll. Saffron hated crying but she still did. Using her hand she wiped the tears from falling. Listening to her friend, she was practically her best friend now. Best girl friend. Then letting out a small laugh when she mentioned Ryker. "I bottle things up, Evie." Shrugging. Her brother was a recovering alcoholic, Aspen seemed perfect besides almost being with a boy that her parents didn't like, maybe she had issues she didn't know. Saffron didn't know how to control what was going on in her head. Everything happening all at once became too much.
"I didn't mean to spill everything like that. I just had to get it out. And yeah I had a crush on Ryker." She laughed, "I don't think my dad knew he was on drugs and alcohol when he came over for D&D. He was great on the farm too. But then he got a job at Eden when he moved to Carroll. He lived like a town over." Saffron could go on and on about him. "He knew I had a crush too..but he had his eyes for Naomi, so he's just one of my best friends in the entire world. I tried ecstasy once. He found me, stayed with me the whole night. I couldn't go home to my parents."
Reaching in her pocket she pulled out what she bought from Naomi. What they liked to call sugar. "I bought this, but I can't take it. I know you would make some use of it than me. I don't think I can." Saffron couldn't do that to her parents.
❝ I'm always here for you okay? Call me any time and I will do my best to answer. ❞ She promised her. She had been there when she wanted someone to dance with her, been there when she wanted a mini rant. Evie was always there for her friends.
Running out the food and doing her best to keep up with everything, she finished closing everything out, including Saffron until she was off work. ❝ Alright! I'm all yours. We can head somewhere and talk. ❞
Saffron had left money on the table and had just grabbed Evie's hand without even thinking. Leading her out the back of the restaurant so no one would see them. Then letting go of her as soon as they reached the brisk air. "Okay.." She breathed out. "That tea blog that Brittany does...is causing my family to fall apart. Holden blah blah blah. Gus kissed blah blah blah, Judge Reynolds blah blah blah. Surprisingly...I'm not on there, thank fucking..." She breathed out almost hyperventilating. "Ryker is gone and everybody acts like he doesn't exist or never existed!.. (Except Naomi) Holden is oblivious over Penny too much to notice how my first boy crush...Holden's best friend..." She calmed herself, "Yes, there was a point in life when I had a crush on Ryker. We all know this now." Letting out a breath. "How much it hurts me that he's gone in fucking Texas?!...Who the fuck goes to rehab in Texas?!...He saved me countless times from having to go to actual therapy."
"I gotta rub it in just a little," he poked further, holding up his fingers close together and scrunching his face before chuckling. He shuffled through a stack of papers to find an empty work ticket and grabbed a pen, setting the form on the counter and pulling the cap off the pen with his teeth. "Alrighty," he started, his voice stifled as he held the cap in his mouth. "Year, make, and model?" he asked as he wrote in what info he already knew - name, address, etc.
Saffron sighed but let out a small laugh. Then watching him as if he was joking. This wasn't her first time at the car shop. "I don't know what year it is. It's a BMW. It should be in your records." Saffron said watching him. She didn't have to say anything, he had everything and was just joking with her. She was just caught off guard for a minute and then turned away from him and started making herself a coffee.
Leo decided he would keep an eye out for Saffron the next time he was at Eden’s. Even though she’d more or less explained why she came there, Leo was naturally suspicious. That came with the territory of there being very few people in his like whom he could actually trust, at least since his parents had died (so more than half his life). “Are you friends with any of the dancers?” Leo asked. He supposed Saffron could also be there just for the show; he didn’t want to presume anyone’s sexuality, even if the clientele was overwhelmingly male usually. “They’re all pretty cool. Some of them are scary too…they don’t put up with shit.” Diamond came to mind as he said this.
Waving his hand dismissively, Leo said, “None of that. It’s been 20 years since I had to worry about foster families.” He didn’t add that he was only 35, so he’d run away when he was 15. “All those years on my own taught me to take care of myself,” Leo went on, “but yeah…alcohol helps.” He’d been planning to make some sort of joke about being an amateur alcoholic, but after hearing Saffron’s comment, it didn’t feel like she was the audience for it. “You know, if it helps, you could tell a stranger what led you here tonight,” Leo told her. “Sometimes it’s easier than telling people you know.”
"Well, I'm friends with Naomi. Most days. I'm also bff's with Evie. Wren is just there." A smile on her face in that moment, "They are all pretty cool, yeah." Knowing exactly who he was talking about. Her sexuality was confusing, going one way, then the other and then both ways. Struggling in the closet because of who her family was, it was all about their image.
Then going on about talking to a stranger about her problems. Almost breaking but not quite. "There's a rumor that my dad kissed my sister's best friend. Family fighting about stupid shit." On top of that one of her best friends left for rehab, just after her brother returned from it. Not fully able to process that they weren't both here and they both had similar issues dealing with it differently. "Last time I asked questions about something in this family, my dad told me to mind my own business. I love my dad but..he shuts me out."
Ocean smiled at Saffron's reaction. "They're really good actually," he told her. "Have you had them? There are a lot of different sauces to choose from too. Some of them are sort of sweet, and some are spicy...and some are really spicy." Ocean laughed a little as he said this, remembering the ill-fated time he decided to try to spiciest wings on the menu. His smile faded just a little as Saffron continued though, not because of her still eating meat though - to each their own, Ocean always thought. But he asked, "Do you ever eat any of the animals on the farm? Like...do you get to know them? I...I don't think I could do it." That was why none of the animals on the commune were for eating; even those who weren't vegetarian got their meat elsewhere, ethically raised and cared for of course.
"Well a sandcastle actually is incredible," Ocean replied, and he meant it. "They're so fragile, like...you have to be really careful. Sometimes I see pictures online of really complex sandcastles, and it's really impressive, like a feat of engineering prowess, even if the builders think they're just passing time on a sunny afternoon." You had to have steady hands and patience to build some of the sandcastles Ocean had seen. Looking around his studio at his own work, Ocean walked over to a row of different pieces of pottery that he had yet to paint. "I don't know what I'm going to do with these when I'm done," he admitted. "I used to sell them back home at the local market, but...I haven't done that in awhile."
"I have, yes. Mostly parmesan garlic." She would have some always in her freezer that came with the sauce that you toss in afterwards. Simple and easy, she wasn't the best cook but there were meals like that that would make cooking not so hard than it seemed. Saffron then shook her head very quickly at the question on if she ate animals from the farm. "No..no..never nope. It's like having a dog and you decide to eat it the next day. I could never. And if I had..and no one told me..I'm glad they didn't tell me because I would not have the heart to do that."
The thought of the beach, soon she would be there but in Hawaii on a nice vacation to herself. "I'm not great at sand castles...I mostly use buckets and try to keep it all together..but I've seen some amazing ones." Following him around the pottery. "They have farmers markets in Carroll..and you could always do your own little garage sale."
Location: St. John
with Father Ezra Waldegrave ( @ezra-waldegrave )
"Father Waldegrave?" She called out. Saffron wasn't one to believe in God or have much faith but seeing that he supported the community..maybe he could still talk to her during a difficult time. It seemed like everyone she knew was loud and proud. Maybe she can speak her confessions like they do in the movies.
Nodding her head slowly, Evie was more than happy to be there for her now, support her the way Ryker did. Distractions, being there for people, that's what she was good at. ❝ Of course. I'll get that punched in now. ❞ She nodded brushing her blonde hair back. ❝ I can make time for you okay? Enjoy the food and stick around until I'm off and we can go and talk. ❞ Her eyes looked around as she smiled to see a few other friends of hers coming in to see her. Evie went to finish up putting in the order, working and running about to keep a steady flow of customers.
Saffron could have talked to her brother about it, but the last thing she wanted was to upset him. Knowing that it may have been a touchy subject right now. Needing that girl talk that she didn't get enough of. "Thanks, Evie." Her voice was soft, then getting herself together. Patiently waiting for her food to arrive.
hey wassup i’ve made 1467 gifs of ZENDAYA as rue bennett in euphoria season 2. feel free to edit, crop, whatever, just please credit me ( tag me + link to post ) if u do ! likes and reblogs are much appreciated!
Evie softened immediately, resting a hand lightly against the edge of the table as she offered Saffron a small, understanding smile. ❝ Hey, don't apologize. That's what friends are for, right? ❞ Her expression turned sympathetic. ❝ Losing the person you usually lean on is hard enough without family drama piling on top of it. But you're allowed to not be fine, Saff. You don't have to pretend with me. ❞ She missed Ryker too, they talked basically every day as she tried to keep her smile on her lips. She glanced at the menu before adding with a gentler smile, ❝ Look.. if you wanna talk I get off in like... just over an hour I think? ❞
Saffron held in what she was feeling. To not expose herself in public. Blinking away a couple tears and smiling instead. "Could I just get the sampler with a side of coleslaw, please?" A crooked smile on her, "If you have time to talk, I'd like that."
