I thought I'd make this post since I've made a few awesome friends and don't want to be a total stranger.

My name is Serena, I'm 24 years old and I am into a lot of different things. I love:

I was into the show Z-Nation for a long time (I recommend Black Summer to anyone who loves zombie series but doesn't want to commit to a whole bunch of seasons.)

After becoming a mom, I can't remember a lot of what I enjoy, I used to love watching gameplays of a bunch of video games. I love drawing too. I also love working out, I recently lost 30 lbs.

This blog will consist of posts about love, Jesus, and feelings. And a dash of humor because I love laughing. I chose my username because I'm a soft person and I'm very shy but I love people and I am happy I've made a couple friends here already.

Please don't hesitate to message me if you need someone to talk to, I did go to college with the intentions to become a licensed therapist but I didn't get to finish school. I thought I was over you. We haven't seen each other in a very long time. Our conversation consists of "How have you been? It's been a while." With friendly smiles.

Busy surroundings get in our way, as if fate is saying "Not yet."

Love takes time. Lust rushes. And there's also a chance that you don't feel the same. So I refrain.

It's all up to chance and God. But when I looked at you today, I still want to believe that there is a way for us to be together. Someday.

Simplicity

I've always wanted to have something simple. To feel like I can say anything without feeling "cringe" or weird. You give me a glimpse of simple.

I love the way we look for anything to say to each other, I love how we make excuses to talk to each other. I feel clumsy at it because I'm used to people telling me to stop talking and to stop trying to fill awkward silences.

I am starting to feel like I don't have to worry about any of that with you, it feels new, it feels awesome.

I have a feeling that it's gonna be difficult for me to get used to it from how much social anxiety I've developed but I feel like eventually we could be great friends.

Better Unsaid

We are a love story never written. From all of the things we have in common to the way our values match almost perfectly.

I have severe anxiety and this feeling that I don't deserve to be happy. I portray myself as boring and awkward because I'm mentally drained from my past.

Being myself brought me nothing but complicated relationships and people that only intended to hurt me.

How do I know you won't do the same? Do I risk letting myself open up again for the same outcome?

I don't like the idea of being insane.

So I'll stay to myself for the most part. I will work on being less avoidant because you don't deserve to be treated that way.

Your kindness is appreciated and I know you most likely don't understand why I'm like this.

I hope you don't ever have to.

Maybe in another life, I would be yours.
