i know it's just an inconsistency in drawing but i like to imagine that light slid his chair frantically away from takada as soon as she tried to press him on why dating her makes him behave like he's just been assigned a 16 hour cash shift

death note, but Light is a huge scaredy cat. The reason he's so pissy is he's absolutely terrified of Ryuk (because of his appearance, he doesn't think Ryuk will off him anytime soon) and he hides it by being mad and passive-aggressive.

When Ryuk realizes it he thinks it's hilarious and loves to jump out at Light just to see him jump.

Ryuk would definitely blackmail him into giving him more apples by threatening to tell Misa, who'd want to be Light's knight in shining armor and 'protect' him, which would be even worse.

Thoughts?

i absolutely adored reading this and i can only imagine his absolute dread when he realizes misa also has a shinigami who more than likely looks equally as or more terrifying than the one he has to look at nearly every second of his day
