Despite feeling little to no remorse for the deaths of his previous partners, who anyone could put the blame on him for, he still always despised being assigned a new one. It was mainly due to the fact they were predictable, being caught off guard with being the grandmaster’s son’s partner, or how cruel he was lead to be, and he certainly lived up to that expectation.
He was relentless with them, never praising them for their good work, never getting along or feeling compelled to help them unless the situation demanded it. He was…difficult to work with, that became known amongst the high ranking Lin Kuei and he didn’t care, so as long as no one ever replaced him.
Irregardless, recently he was assigned a new partner. Not new to the Lin Kuei, but recently promoted. He was someone he’d never seen in the clan nor did he bother to care enough to look at his files, as it was recommended. He knew he won’t last long, there was no reason to attempt to get along.
The prince was pacing near the entrance of the temple, a simple area where they could meet, also convenient due to a ‘mission’ they’d be going on, but Sektor knew it was a test to see their compatibility. He only knew a few of his old, potential partners that never made it past this, but that never surprised him.
He leaned against the wall, fingers tapping against his folded arms as he stared into the temple ahead of him. He was already an inpatient man, so the time it took him to wait, he already disliked his supposed new partner.
❝ …hmph. I hope his skills are not as off point as his clock. ❞
Cyrax didn’t know all that much about his partner, the only things he did know about him were some of the things that he had heard from the whispers and conversations of the other Lin Kuei that he had managed to catch. To sum it all up in a few short words; his partner was not one you wanted to make angry or get on the bad side of. And it was apparently pretty easy to do so.
He didn’t mean to wake up a little later than he had planned - he had thought about getting to the meeting spot before his partner could to show that he wouldn’t let the other down. That was out the window now it seemed, walking as quickly as he could to get to the entrance of the temple. he just hoped that he hadn’t kept his partner waiting too long, he would have felt absolutely terrible.
The assassin turned the corner and stopped for a second upon seeing the male, his gaze quickly diverting to the ground before he continued forward, a hand coming up to rub the back of his neck in a bashful manner. He didn’t mean to make the other wait, that wasn’t at all how he planned it out. He bowed.
“...Sorry, I... I hope I did not make you wait too long...”
He straightened himself up after his apology, taking a moment to examine the other. So this was the prince of the Lin Kuei? In a way he was a bit intimidating, but Cyrax looked past that. Maybe, just maybe, he could get on the better side of him. It’d take time, he already knew that.
