can u involuntarily pet regress?? like I was doing math hw one day and I had an urge to just… puppy… and I felt my mind slipping but I forced myself to do math hw and then when it was done I just kinda went puppy mode and rolled around and crawled and stuff and I’m kinda curious bc it wasn’t voluntary it just happened?? thanks!!

hello! and you 100% can! pet regression is a form of regressing for comfort and safety when your mind or body becomes overwhelmed with stress, so you doing math hw probably reached a point where mentally or physically your body needed an outlet and you regressed!

there's definitely no set way to regress but it's definitely possible to voluntarily or involuntarily regress but all ways are completely valid when done in a safe environment and head space of course!

I have a question. I'm writing about age regression and pet regression and I personally don't pet regress or know any.

So my question: Do you ever talk human when you're regressed or do you only bark, meow, exc?

And do you know of any petre that do speak human languages when they're regressed?

Personally for me, depending on the pet space, I tend to go nonverbal. Most of the people I know who pet regress in the community also go nonverbal and communicate only by making the sounds of the animal they're regressed as, like you mentioned, barking/meowing or making other noises such as growling, soft yipping, or any other sound.

I don't personally know any petre who speak human languages when they're regressed but I'm sure there are some out there.
