Welcome to the world Harriette - you're so loved.
A BETTER WORLD IS MOTHERFUCKING POSSIBLE AND WE WILL BUILD IT TOGETHER BECAUSE IT WONT GET BUILT ANY OTHER WAY
Man, I forget about tumblr all the time but when I need something off my chest, here I come.
The amount that is coming to light recently about pedophilia, grooming, child abuse etc is terrifying. I've been getting so paranoid at every tiny change in Luna's behaviour. She's 2 and started at a private nursery this year.
She absolutely LOVES nursery, she's always super happy to go and is just as happy when we pick her up. I feel like I just want to be able to see her 24/7 to make sure she's okay and that people are treating her correctly. Someone harming my children whilst I'm not around is, honest to god, one of my biggest fears. I don't want to be too stressed because I'm pregnant, but I also don't want to pull her out of a perfectly lovely nursery over some paranoia. Surely if something bad was going on, she wouldn't be so happy to go back everyday?
No one can prepare you for this type of anxiety when you have children. I just want to protect her all the time at all costs, but I don't want to take away her independence or keep her from things she enjoys.
This is so hard.
Hey I hope you're doing okay, I just wanted to say I'm sorry for the past and I have a lot of regret for mistakes I made when I was young and dumb . I'm not that person anymore and I've learnt a lot about myself and about life in general. I'm so proud of you for everything you have accomplished and everything you accomplish daily, you deserve to be happy! I wish we didn't part when we did but I'm overwhelmed with joy to see you so happy and I just want you to know I'm still cheering for you x
Sorry I dunno when you sent this, I'm not overly active on tumblr anymore 😬 We all have regrets and mistakes from when we were younger, believe me I understand that one. That's really lovely of you to say though, thank you! I'd like to say I'm happy for you too but obviously I don't know who you are 😅 Thanks again though, that's really kind x
As Pride Month comes to an end, I just want every single one of you in this community to know that you are so loved. That you deserve acceptance. That you have a place here and always will.
To all who are out and proud, I love you.
To those who are closeted, I love you.
To everyone who has friends and family who don't accept them, I love you.
To those who are questioning, I love you.
To all who feel invisible in this community, I love you.
To those who have been told they don't belong, I love you.
To everybody who has been invalidated in their identities, I love you.
To those who are gay, lesbian, bi, trans, nonbinary, pan, ply, ace, aro, genderqueer, queer, MOGAI, and all other identities, I see you. I accept you. And I love you so very much.
Happy Pride, everyone! 🏳️🌈

It's taken me a while to realise that, a large part of me being able to get better and being able to take care of myself and my mental health, is down to forgiving myself. Obviously, I have done things wrong in my life just like every other human being. But, it took me a long time to be able to forgive myself for these things. I was busy making excuses for stuff I had done when, really, as long as I was truly sorry and knew I wouldn't follow in those steps again, it's completely okay to move on and forgive myself. It's about growth and changing. Instead of wallowing in what I had done wrong and trying to change it, I just had to accept that I'd made mistakes and not make the same ones again. Aswell as this I also has to realise that it's okay NOT to forgive others but, that doesn't mean I have to remain bitter. Other people can grow, learn and change just as I have. Now instead of feeling anger when I hear the names of people who have hurt me, I feel indifferent. I'm not the same person as I was then, and the likelihood is that they aren't who they were either. Since having my daughter I have learned so much about myself and even more about how to handle the world around me. It's cliche to say that my baby girl saved my life but she well and truly did. These past 2 and a half years have been so clarifying. Now I'm expecting my 2nd little girl and I can't wait to see what she opens my eyes to. I feel like a brand new person going into this chapter and it's amazing!
hearing that last sleepy “i love you” before going to bed is a beautiful moment.
