I’ve done probably over a dozen woosan readings on my own since and they’ve only reaffirmed everything. That is why I am saying all of this with confidence. So where we are with woosan currently is they’ve opened a new YouTube channel you can find the link in my recent posts. Please support them, this means so much to them and I’ll elaborate on why. But the biggest ruckus it caused was a portion of the video where San says him and Wooyoung aren’t dating. Now as someone who owns a tarot deck that has repeatedly and repeatedly told me that they are or at least have a genuine romantic connection, I didn’t budge. I didn’t panic, I didn’t doubt, my first reaction was “lol ok San whatever you gotta say”.

It’s important to preface this by saying two things:

1. Koreans clarified that San said it in a playful manner. It wasn’t said from being uncomfortable or whatever dumb shit this fandom wants to spew. If he was uncomfortable being paired with Wooyoung the channel wouldn’t fucking exist. This fandom doesn’t know what woosan went through to get this channel so I need that entire narrative to shut the fuck up.

2. San denied them dating because Wooyoung was lowkey implying that they were. When talking about getting permission from their parents to get another matching tattoo he uses “yangga bumonim”(양가 부모님). This is typically used in a bride and groom context like getting permission for marriage and whatnot. It didn’t come out of nowhere, woosan are still idols from conservative ass South Korea, San will deny dating anyone.

I am not condemning what he said. I am not fighting against it. I am not judging him. Because I know why he said it and I’ve felt the weight of what made him say that. In most of my woosan readings, the energy is always so heavy as if I swallowed a rock. No other readings I’ve ever done felt that way, not even with matz. In early June, in a short reading I did on my own, I’d asked how woosan felt about the company. The cards were mostly conflicted feelings of nostalgia, burden, stress etc. but the energy overwhelmed me. Idk if something went down between them and the company that particular day but it felt like I was on the brink of a panic attack. I had to do breathing exercises, ground myself, and temporarily detach from reading woosan because I was absorbing their emotional baggage.

So I only have sympathy for San but I did ask why he said it.

Why did San deny dating Wooyoung: King of Swords, Page of Cups, Queen of Swords, 9 of Wands, 3 of Coins, the Devil, 5 of Coins, 7 of Swords, 10 of Cups rev, 9 of Swords

Y’all gotta understand San is very paranoid and defensive. The page of cups here to me is the reality of his feelings. It’s emotional tenderness, a bleeding heart that is surrounded by guarded energy. Even though he denied it in a rather casual way it is rooted in a knee jerk reaction. In the video when talking about getting a health certificate, he mentions how it’ll look a certain type of way if they do it together. Meanwhile, I doubt Wooyoung, the staff, or even most fans interpreted that suggestion the same way. San is so hyper-aware of what being paired with Wooyoung could mean but it’s not from being uncomfortable but he needs to control how they’re perceived. The 3 of coins could refer to his career as an idol or simply this collaboration with Wooyoung making the channel. The Devil is societal expectations chaining him down, his toxic environment conditioning him into these habits so he doesn’t end up in the 5 of coins - losing it all and being isolated. Combine this with the 9 of swords, this is all fear. Of ruining his vision of ultimate happiness with Wooyoung. 7 of swords - secrecy and self-preservation. San will say or do what he believes will protect them even if it means cutting his real emotions off.

Then he later said on fromm not to refer to their matching tattoos as a couple tattoo. From what I heard, this is partially because Wooyoung used a certain language in the video suggesting that it was a couple tattoo and again, he didn’t say this in a serious, uncomfortable manner. But this fandom doesn’t give a damn about nuance.

Why did San say that about the tattoo: 10 of Coins rev, Knight of Coins, Page of Coins, 4 of Coins

All coins cards; he is thinking about their careers. He obviously recognizes the unconventionality of the AAA tattoos. It goes against traditional standards of their society. I’ve done a reading on my own of what the tattoos mean to woosan but more or less it is a long-term investment for a future. It is their hope for forever and telling from the 4 of coins, san treasures it deeply. Once again this guardedness comes out and even without tarot reading, it’s always been clear the tattoos are a touchy subject for San. Personally I think there’s more context as to what led them getting it that the public will never be privy to. But typically Wooyoung guides the conversation around it while San agrees quietly. Similar to the dating denial, San will guard what he values most even if it means hiding his true feelings.

So as everyone knows the dating denial clip blew up and knowing how chronically online Wooyoung is especially on Twitter, he definitely knows. Gotta mention I did this reading on Thursday so right during the heat of it.

How does Wooyoung feel seeing articles claim they aren’t dating: 10 of Cups rev, Ace of Coins rev, 9 of Wands, Strength, 8 of Wands, 5 of Swords, 2 of Coins, 9 of Coins

These cards read like Wooyoung saw all the chaos and took the biggest sigh. From the first two cards, it shows how this all kinda rained on his parade in a sense. The channel means so many things to woosan, one of them being a public celebration of their bond. He wasn’t able to fully enjoy the beginnings of this channel or reach emotional harmony because this is all everyone was talking about. 8 of wands signaling how rapidly the news was spreading and the momentum of hectic energy. Wooyoung believes there’s just no winning here because he obviously can’t disprove it and he’s ever conscious of the juggling between his private life and what is presented on camera. But ultimately, I think he shut out all the noise to retreat to self-sufficient privacy and be content with it. The public will believe what they want but he will enjoy what he’s built for himself including his relationship with San.

I dug a little deeper because him seeing internet discourse is one thing but I wanted to know how he felt on an interpersonal level.

How does Wooyoung feel that San denied them dating: The Wheel of Fortune, the World rev, Queen of Wands, Four of Wands rev, Four of Swords rev, the Star

There’s agitation here I feel. I mean this is usually the case with Wooyoung cards I pull during a woosan reading and their current situation. There’s constantly a sense that Wooyoung is done with external bullshit screwing him over and wants to take matters into his own hands. With the world and 4 of wands in reverse, I need to stress that he wants public acknowledgement so badly. He wanted their bond to be celebrated, he wanted to world to really see them and it’s not happening. Because of something out of his control that he couldn’t have predicted would cause this much of a mess thus the wheel of fortune. But Wooyoung is a strong creative force and is passionate about this road he’s taken. And he’s looking forward to a brighter future especially seeing they’ll definitely reach their 500k view goal before episode 1 even drops. He’s hopeful that everything will work out and that perhaps the world will acknowledge their true selves one day.

What I love most about WooSan channel teaser we got today is that it's such a good encapsulation of their relationship, which they describe as having "a level of closeness" that surpasses what each of them have with the other members.

Wooyoung knows San so well. He knows San enjoys making content for atiny, but he also knows that San is shy and reserved when he's on his own. He often clings to his "idol image" which Wooyoung encourages him to discard, forever leading by example.

San trusts Wooyoung to lead them, because he knows that, whatever they do, Wooyoung will ensure San never regrets it. Just like their tattoo.

It's remarkable to watch this process unfold in seventeen minutes. San starts off as stilted, a little awkward. Wooyoung watches, patiently, and then he strikes. He starts poking at San, teasing him, egging him on. He starts doing little bits, daring San to respond to his dramatics.

San takes the bait. You watch him slowly blossom under Wooyoung's attention. Soon, they start to bicker, San's voice rising in excitement and disbelief at Wooyoung's gall. You can see the fighting spirit rise within him, coupled with his desire to make Wooyoung laugh. Making Wooyoung laugh is his life's goal.

San's idol image makes a cameo as their joking continues. He gets flustered at Wooyoung teasing him about asking "the in-laws" for permission to get a new friendship tattoo, hastily clarifying we are not dating.

Wooyoung doesn't enable this. He waits, attention elsewhere, wearing a small smirk on his face.

Then they resume their banter, San affirming (not thirty seconds later) that "we've built up our chemistry with the name WooSan." He admits that SanWoo just doesn't make sense. "If it becomes SanWoo all of the sudden, it's not right." While I know that shipping nomenclature from an earlier fandom era doesn't necessarily apply here, I feel like there's a tacit acknowledgment by San that WOO- should come first, because WOO- leads --SAN.

Even though family and friends almost unanimously vote for San to be the main host their show ("Wouldn't you be better at it, San?"), San is still complains that he's not really in charge: "But he's always like this! After he talks about what he wants to talk about, he just looks at me and tells me to do it!" Yet, he doesn't seem too upset by this, beaming the entire time.

By the end of the episode, San is flushed, happy, and confident. He's found his balance, thanks to Wooyoung. They're also physically closer than they were at the start: touching each other's knees, even swatting at each other.

Meanwhile, Wooyoung gets a bit quieter, responding with fond amusement as San teases him about his habits. If San needs Wooyoung's help to liberate him from his idol image, than Wooyoung perhaps also needs the trust and loyalty that San places in his hands, that precious responsibility of guarding someone's happiness.

Anyway, can't wait to watch more WooSan TV in the coming weeks!
