Weโll have some fancy text here in a hot second yes. A cool bit of prose but for now this is simply a place holder to keep intros once they are up while giving a tiny bit of info on the characters that live here.ย This little blurb right here will change

Alkira had guesses as to who was what but those were of people she knew like the arryns she knew their gate by heart and the way hands gestures and certain mannerisms betrayed them but this was a new and strange person. After all she had never left the Vale many of these were new people to the woman. With a chuckle she allowed herself to laugh no matter how strangely uncomfortable it was not knowing who was friend or foe wanting to be back to her daughter already. The season of summer had to be on display though for all to see for summer was popular and many had said they adored the costume - to which the lady gave her best bow. Standing now by this individual, standing by the moon she smiled and one could see it. "It could be a test - you never know to see whoever we are under the mask act without inhibition and reveal our true natures when no one is looking. A trick and treat" Alkira shook her head pointing at the tarts, suggesting perhaps for the moon what might be a novel idea. Alkira could be wrong but she knew not who was behind its mask so she was friendly and king, warm like her costume suggested. "You could sample them all. I would keep the secret"
there was an odd sense of security in anonymity. the randomness of the costume sheโd been given only fueled her excitement. tonight there would be no stares, no poorly hidden whispers about the witch of harrenhal. no eyes filled with spite or fear or both, often belonging to those sheโd never even met. tonight she was not ryella whent, cursed beauty and tragic victim of cruel gossip. tonight she was the kraken, and she was going to ensure the game lasted as long as possible.ย โhow long do you think the king spent planning for tonight?โ a question posed the moment she felt a nearby presence.ย โseems a rather inspired idea, a masquerade.โ
.
The golden lion watched and observed, eyes trained in this direction for one reason. Perhaps their presence sang of a need for those to pay attention to them but it was more. It was like the world was fearful of her good heavens - kassia had to pay quiet attention waiting for a moment compute and calculate what they would want. "Its a brilliant move ย I feel. Throw strangers together in a room where no one knows who you are it gives a moment of pure power. You watch your enemies in their most natural form - who they are when you are not looking and then you see them in that state. Personally I would think a few days at the least weeks more likely to send a message back we might not see yet in what he's shown us about yourselves. How long do you suppose?"

Ersan Stark, Lord of Winterfell.
The Red Keepโs ballroom,
During King Lucerysโ masquerade.
ย ย ย ย ย ๐๐๐ Red Keepโs ballroom was a whirlwind of masks and gowns. Lords and ladies, perhaps liberated by the shroud of anonymity, danced and mingled amongst each other. Ersan stood by the sidelines, never too comfortable when surrounded by so many people, even less when he could not see the faces of said people. With a goblet of wine on his hand he turned his head to the person next to him. โOn the risk of raising the kingโs anger if this were to find its way to his ears, I simply cannot wait for this whole ordeal to be over.โ
.
The world swirled on still with faces of kings and clowns and those one could tell were unhappy with the kings thoughts but they were his own. The tiger would protect his own though no family to a crown he had served long enough to feel as if they were and whomever lingered under the mask knew well enough many circulated about the room who would rather not be dressed up and cloaked in mystery. "It is a risk. I know of the king well enough that if it were it would be troubles indeed with the work put on for it. Why do you take issue with the event? Are you afraid of the anonymity of several people and only one knows the truth or simply put surprises are your least favorite pass time?" Bryn questioned. "Or is it just sleep you desire for the travel was long and the wait fo the event longer in your mind or reality"

Nymella Martell, Ruling Princess of Dorne.
The refreshments table,
During King Lucerysโ masquerade.
๐๐๐๐๐๐๐ was smiling and breathless when she left the dance floor and reached the refreshments table. Though she would most likely not admit it later, this whole ordeal was proving to be more entertaining than she had initially expected it to be. Sure, it still did not shine a light to the parties and balls held at Sunspear, but it was not the dull affair she remembered the Crownโs balls to be.
The table was full of sweets and fruit and wine, among the many delicacies, she spotted a treat she simply could not resist. โYou should do well to try this if you havenโt,โ she spoke mindlessly to the person besides her as she reached for one of the candied blood oranges crowning a pile of other fruits. โI can vow to this, it is unlike anything else in this table.โ
.
The tiger knew and was aware of most every move in the area around him. Hands that ruffled skirts and adults with more of their fill and it seemed yes there was a good time to be had by all but innocent movements could be ominous if a person decided kindness was no option nor the subterfuge endured at any gathering. The king had the ability to watch every ally and enemy show true colors and it was a master stroke, brilliant. As the person beside him explained that this was a favorite of hers he listened. He had no idea of this woman or the costume but the recommendation was appreciated. "Why this what is your most favorite thing is is?"
she has a satisfied smile on her face as she sips at her wine. an arbor red of course, just as good as what sheโd grown up sneaking sips of when she was just old enough to start growing curious about alcohol. she figures if she had the headache of having to deal with sorting the expenses of this whole thing, she may as well enjoy her night. sheโs slightly buzzed on wine and still mildly breathless from the number of times her husband had twirled her on the dancefloor, though sheโs easily in need of a break. she drops down into an open seat with very little care for who was beside her.ย โtell me honestly, is this not the best wine youโve ever tasted?โ
.
"Honestly?" The season of summer repeated as she herself sipped from a goblet of wine, Alkira had to shake her head. The near wildling like woman who had conformed for her father the lord of his keep for his sake after the majority of her life lived so far as if she were like her own mother before she'd married did not care for wine. The preference was a good hard ale, or a liquor you'd surely only find in less refined parts of the world there was a shake of her head. "The best wine perhaps but I do nt care for wine. You seem though to have a dizzyingly wonderful time though. Is this a wine you could never have enough? Wine though might be fun to observe how others hold secret their identities with it prying open lips"
ย ย the evening was still young to aster, he was only a goblet or so of wine down and had shared a few dances with friendly strangers, but he longed for a breath of fresh air. he carefully made his way through the party, eyes seeking out an empty spot to quiet his mind and racing heart, settling on leaning against a wall at the outskirts of the crowd.ย โ gods,โ he whispered to himself, letting out a long breath before noticing someone a few feet away from him.ย โ iโve been playing a game all night. i attempt to guess what someoneโsย โ maskย โ name might be. iโve only been right twice now.โ aster rambled, giving them a half smile.ย
.
A sister would know that voice well having all but studied a series of whispers knowing family intimately well. Would a sibling recognize them? Kassia was dressed nothing like a tyrell save for being golden and there were no roses to allude to a more obvious lineage. Chuckling a golden claw, one of many tapped the side of the lion's helm only part of the mask provided for them for the evening. "Only twice now? Out of how many though have you guessed? If it is two out of two you've questioned and suspected their true identity that is good more - perhaps it may not be so bad." They spoke wondering what the guess would be for them and if and older half sibling would know enough of the movement of a person, the certain way words were said or turns of phrase. "What would you guess for me? Who do you hazard a guess at a golden lion being or would you like to ask questions and one provide only short cryptic answers?"
At the agreed upon time, specified by the note among the mass of individuals waiting to be admitted to this grand masquerade thrown into darkness and a swirling mass of paper faces on parade, three of the many hold invitations curious to how the night unfolds. Music played just beyond the entrance where stewards collected invitations calling forth souls to dance to its infectious melody. Just beyond those doors, not but a few feet away festivities called like a lure tempting sweet sinner and unsoiled dove to play the game and still pretend it was just a simply party set up by a true magician with ineffable odds. The golden lion, the tiger and the season of summer and not a single character was obvious. The king was no senile fool, to call him a fool even the one that would wish him dead and kingdoms free of dragon's teeth had to give credit where it was do - there was still a dangerous man who seated the iron throne with a game far bigger than any of them knew. There was a mother who kissed her child goodnight leaving her with a nurse maid, a lord commander who no matter the occasion was never without his duty to the crown and a bastard sibling that preferred the shadows where they had grown. || MUN NOTES: None of what follows is common knowledge. only the king knows but perhaps friend or family know enough about the persons below to hazard a guess as the night goes on!
โ THE TIGER: played by Ser Bryndemere Tarth
The tiger extended a hand with effortless grace like one who was trained to wield any weapon with the utmost expertise. HE remembers in the moment a steward he has known since their appointment to the position and their coming to Kingslanding that his beloved king knew the story. Bryndemere had told him in a conversation among lord protector and sovereign one late evening chatting as if they were old friends which at this point they were for the amount of blood one had shed to keep the others head. The tiger was both an acknowledgement of his prowess, of his skill and strength and the utmost faithfulness he had to the throne. It was acknowledging that any other theme would've been an insult to him and the commitment he had knowing if anyone would be acutely aware of everyone in the room - Bryn would be watching knowing others would want him out of the way if they had any ill will to the man who picked the costume. Bryndemere Tarth looked positively stunning, exotic and electric - tantalizing and dangerous but who would possibly guess him to be who he was? There were literally a dozen or so that were of a similar build but none could claim such a brilliant majesty as a Tiger could. Bryn would embody the character for it was his nature and still it would assure him a reasonable disguise for the night.
โ THE SEASON OF SUMMER: played by Lady Alkira Redfort
The season of summer was a strangely beautiful and captivating creature, one that could rip wings from birds of heaven if a soul so wished and tear stars from the sky with wild hands all but raised like one of the mountain clans. Truthfully she was, the king would know this, the stories had reached this far of Lord Redfort's choice of bride in his second wife and only naturally the child born of such bonds would have wildling blood. Did he know everything? Did he know the young woman's secrets - perhaps not but it could only be speculated that a lord among the crowd was the child's father and one did question the mysterious mountains of the moon and the arryn's that roosted there ย - the vale was always far too quiet. Give her summer, make the woman noticeable and shine as a beloved season like the sun and all the things embodied by the season sweet summer child that Alkira was. After all to give the king credit he knew the meaning of her name; bright, sunny - a happy place in the sun and what was summer but all of those things. A quiet compliment to a stranger but also a most clever way to keep an eye on someone relatively unknown who could pose a danger. Anyone none to familiar with the royal personage from a place cloaked in mystery where motives were unknown was always a danger until they were not. Alkira handed her ย invitation forward, hearing subtle whispers wondering what dream had walked forward into the room curious to know how warm the season of summer would be to them but who would know her from the birds or the trees? Total anonymity was terrifying and yet extremely liberating - Alkira only wondered whose faces lurked behind other masks.
โ THE GOLDEN LION: played by Kassia Flowers
Finally, last but not least was the most unexpected of them all to be hidden behind the mask they wore. A golden lion as if to flaunt before everyone but a double mask still obscured the brilliant beast beneath them. Perhaps it was a cruel joke, a funny one certainly but not without its own claws dug into its meaning surely. The reach was not what it had been, power not given as it should've been long ago and instead passed over to lions. A child who if they came from a woman that was mother to all other golden roses but this creature would bear a name other than bastard because of the father to a potential queen would've been called golden themselves. The one who preferred not to reveal themselves, to roam and prowl unincumbered but would fiercely fight with the strength of a lion, a lion hearted child called flowers that in truth would war for the honor and restored glory of their siblings who kept themselves secret - it was a many faceted theme. Kassia knew - as an invitation was taken and a golden claw reached for the singular earring they had most definitely been thrown into the deep end and a game was truly afoot. No one would expect Kassia to be as they were, this magnificent golden lion and perhaps even their siblings would fail to recognize the being. Complete and total anonymity ย so positively overt it was covert.
Three packages arrive at the doors of their intended persons, nearly wrapped and deceptively heavy with three simply instructions from the king himself written in his own hand. One dress in the attire provided for you within the package, two bring your invitation to the ball and lastly reveal to no one your identity and refer only to your pseudonym.ย Three individuals take their packages and accept the challenge, accept the task given to them by the sovereign. The only man who knows who everyone is is the royal who has set up this masquerade what a dangerous and exciting time but who said anything bad ever happened at a party?ย
ย MUN NOTES: I know who each of these characters are and in an effort to keep the anonymity living just a little bit longer I wonโt post graphics and strive not to be too entirely descriptive of certain identifiers that might tell you who they are. I may throw a few in there to lead you astray but what might seem like a red herring could actually be true. will you know? not until its revealed. Also! enjoy a little playlist I made to feed my muses while building their costumes / theme aesthetics.ย (ย PLAYLIST ) Without further ado read about the golden lion, the tiger and the season of summer
๐๐๐ ๐๐๐๐๐๐ ๐๐๐๐ย :ย Sharp eyes stare at the package they are handed ย giving an absent minded nod to the servant who delivered the packaged, retreating into their chambers to shut a heavy door behind them. The spacious quarters, spacious for the individual mattered little opposed to the package with its unknown contents. Setting it down on the bed the individual pulled free the bindings tossing the ribbon onto the comforter. Carefully they shifted the lid to the box and a curious brow lifted, lifting the head of a lion from the box. It was a gorgeous helm, a multi faceted mask with two layers each of them golden. One pondered the reasons the king would have given them the golden lion as fingers traced golden fangs and then the under mask that covered the bottom of ones face so all one would see of a persons personal expression was their eyes. Even those were meant to be obscured as well. Smokey eyes lined with black and gold and a face brushed with flakes of it. There were golden claw rings long and sharp, golden shoes and clothing of black and gold ornately designed almost like armor for a battle of paper faces on parade.ย
The final piece was a singular earring of a lion's claw, golden itself in laid with diamond and a singular pearl that dangled in the curl of the claw. ย The golden lion ... lips pursed as the held the outfit to their person curious to the meaning behind it. Was it that the king saw them as something fearsome? Did they strike a powerful chord with him of something to be hold - an example of bravery and courage - valuable and dangerous? Was it a compliment, a warming. With a small grumble and the brush of dark hair back behind an ear holding the helm and its under mask now looking over the piece. It did fit. They were not disappointed with the costume given to them but eyes that had seen too much already in a singular lifetime to fill hundreds of books still couldn't shake the feeling there was more at play. Something was afoot.ย
๐๐๐ ๐๐๐๐๐ย : The tiger's mask looked almost eerily realistic, the stitching and weaving in of whiskers and flares of fabric and lace made to appear as fur - the tiger themself stared at it eyes narrowed. They were majestic creatures not native to westeros and here a costumer had recreated it nearly perfectly. The individual had seen tigers before. Picture books but there had been one occasion to have seen the magnificent wild creature up close and personal. They were small and it had been caged and how righteously angered had they been to see something so powerful and beautiful caged. Trapped. Had news of that story reached the king, how had their childhood been something the Targaryen king was so particularly interested in? Odd. They took the meaning of the theme they had been assigned to be that they were fierce, strong in a way others were not - majestic. They stood for justice and integrity but they were still wild and acutely aware of their surroundings and skilled hunters. They stood for family.. royalty even.ย
The Tiger knew from whispers on the wind and talk they had heard only partial snippets of from those around them that the animal they were given when it became a threat were hunted, that man feared a tiger just as much as they did lions and bears but more so because a tiger knew how to stalk its prey. Was this alluding to a king knowing or at least suspecting motivations other than the party line? Only way to know if this meant something more than touching a childhood experience the king found an entertaining anecdote was to attend - perhaps a Tiger over thought the choice but in any case caution would be advised. Oranges, rich vibrant hues of the color with dashes of white and black woven among each other wrapped around a body snuggly fitting perfectly and for an added touch a face was decorated, painted personally by the hand of the Tiger themselves to complete the effect. They too would have claws, rings to place on each finger.
๐๐๐ ๐๐๐๐๐๐ ๐๐ ๐๐๐๐๐๐ : The Season of Summer frowned after opening the box, a sour look crossing their face as they had quickly untied the package and set out its contents across the bed. An intricately designed mask - options of masks that all fit the desired theme and head dresses of summer flowers and shells, ย gold and pearls for another dripping in the idea of summer and the feeling of being transported to the very middle of the warm and sunny season were vibrant colors ruled, flowers were in full bloom and the world was alive as was the idea of this costume to communicate as such. Lighter fabrics, flowers, golds and greens oranges and blues and a feeling of the sun. Was it because they were a sweet summer child once, perhaps it was to suggest they were gloomy ( not that this was a joke between old friends or a general speculation because of the region they hailed from ) and a sunny disposition would hide them perfectly. Perhaps it was a compliment, perhaps it was a challenge to someone else in the room that here was summer the most beloved of seasons and it was to force them to watch this was all speculation as hands that were gentle as they were skilled began to don a costume they did not fully understand the meaning of. The Season of Summer would wait for the explanation and attend the masquerade sure of one thing that the King had larger plans than simply assigning attire - this was a game and they would have to play it to know what it meant and to protect those that were their own.
