KISSMET (क़िस्मत/کسمٹ/కిస్మెట్/কিসমেট/किस्मत) is a 5-member kpop-inspired south asian girl group under GEM records, consisting of Misbah, Saira, Diya, Sonia & Avantika. They debuted on April 15, 2023, with the single "Killshot" from their first album, Garden of Us.
KISSMET was formed by GEM records, a company based in Los Angeles, which the kpop boy group TXT joined in 2021 after previously being under bighit enertainment. the girl group is a multinational group, composed of members with heritage from all over south asia. preparation for GEM Record's new girl group began in 2021, which was when global auditions took officially place. the group's line up was finalised in 2022.
the group officially debuted in 2023 with a magical fairy concept (don't have the lore scripted...we will find out !!) rooted in south asian aesthetics. although the girls primarily sing in english due to it's universal nature, they are not limited to it & even have songs in their mother tongues ( hindi, urdu, telugu, bangla & nepali ). they are known for their elegant choreography, airy + pretty vocals & majestic visuals of their unique concept and styling
𓂂 ྀི𓈒 ׁ 𓊆ྀིྀི GROUP NAME MEANING 𓊇ྀི KISSMET (a re-spelling of the word KISMAT, a word used across south asia which translates to destiny) describes events that feel "meant to be" which perfectly describes the girl's desire to work with one another. it also stands for a group that doesn’t wait for destiny but rather they create their own path, which is evident in their creative freedom in their songs & choreography. they were originally supposed to be called KISMET but Misbah suggested KISSMET for a more unique touch in which the creative team admired.

let her cook ! (💬) so this was very much inspired by my own experience at my first MUN conference ! if you don't know what an MUN is, it stands for model united nations, its where kids from highshool basically simulate an actual UN conference by roleplaying delegates of different countries .
"okay! everyone knows how to play anonymous chits, right?”
you were sure your gulp was heard across all the committee rooms.
“dude… I hate anonymous chits…” your fellow delegate, louis groaned. you two hit it off immediately during the first networking session and have been sitting together since. “bro… what the hell are anonymous chits…?” you questioned with a whisper.
it was your first-ever MUN, and the endless procedures and rules were enough to make your head ache. having just finished drafting the resolution, the last thing you wanted was another unknown process to take place where you’d embarrass yourself.
“don’t sweat it,” he patted your back. “it’s very simple, you just gotta write a chit to a random person, addressing it to their portfolio, without mentioning yours. you can use undiplomatic language in it aswell, i could literally confess to another delegate in it if i wanted to.” louis explained.
you nodded slowly and looked around the committee room. everyone was giggling and talking to their friends/partners while scribbling down god knows what on tiny white pieces of paper.
your line of sight landed on him. the delegate of russia. you had your eye on him for a while but were too scared to approach him during free time. he was talking to the delegate of canada, a tall dude with blonde hair. it seemed like they were friends from the same school.
what an unlikely pairing…
‘here goes nothing i guess…’ you thought while tearing a piece of paper, addressing it to the delegate of russia.
‘hey! I think you’re really cute, i’d love to talk more after the committee’s over :)’
you overheard his name being said by the slenderman looking guy, kim juhoon. you shyly smiled thinking about him. you gave your chit to the collector and looked back towards louis. “what did you write?” you asked excitedly with a big smile.
“if i told you that, it wouldn't be anonymous now, would it?”
you rolled your eyes in response. “whatever man…”
you soon realized your mistake.
“hold on, the chair is gonna be reading the chits out loud?!”
louis shrugged, “obviously…?”
you resisted the urge to punch him. “who was gonna tell me that bro???” you exclaimed.
louis let out a small giggle in response, “why are you so nervous? its not like they’re gonna announce your name with the message.” with a groan, you sank lower into your chair and buried your face in your hands.
you soon realised how un-diplomatic the delegates could get.
the chair unfolded the first chit and cleared her throat.
“to the delegate of france: stop flirting with the delegate of germany and start paying attention to the agenda.”
the room immediately erupted into laughter while the unfortunate delegate of france tried to be nonchalant about the whole thing.
“to the delegate of china: if staring at your laptop solved international conflicts, we'd have world peace by now.”
more laughter followed as the delegate of china dramatically thanked the room.
“to the delegate of japan: your speeches are so good that i stopped pretending to take notes and actually started listening.”
a chorus of exaggerated "awwws" and giggles spread across the room.
then another.
“to the delegate of australia: are you single, or are your foreign policies as unavailable as you are?”
the room exploded with whoops and table banging. you, however, weren't laughing anymore.
with every chit that was read aloud, your anxiety climbed higher and higher. your confession to the delegate of russia suddenly felt a lot less anonymous than it had ten minutes ago.
“alright , next one…” the chair reached into the pile with a smile. you squeezed your eyes shut and drank unholy amounts of water to calm your nerves.
“to the delegate of russia: hey! i think you're really cute. i'd love to talk more after the committee's over ”
silence spread across the room. for one glorious second, there was beautiful silence. then , the committee room exploded again.
"ohhhhhh!"
"no way!"
"WHO WROTE THAT?"
"russia’s got game!"
you wanted the pits of hell to open up from the floor and swallow you whole.
the chair pinched the bridge of her nose, regretting her every decision that led to that moment. “delegates…” she tried to warn but failed miserably to hide her amusement.
your heart hammered against your ribs as you kept your gaze fixed firmly on the desk.

you looked up.
the delegate of russia was laughing. you made kim juhoon laugh.
the delegate of canada was practically falling out of his chair, slapping juhoon’s shoulder while saying something you couldn't make out. juhoon shook his head, still smiling. then, as if sensing your gaze, he looked across the room. directly at you.
your soul immediately left your body as you scrambled to look down at your papers. did he know it was you? no way… right?
“alright,” the chair said, trying to regain control of the committee. “moving on before some of you forget we're discussing international security.”
she proceeded to share a few words of wisdom and information related to the agenda while the room gradually settled.
however, you did not.
the final gavel strike had never sounded so beautiful.
“the committee is now adjourned.”
before the chair had even finished speaking, delegates were already packing their bags, crowding around their friends, and making plans for lunch.
you, meanwhile, were trying to execute the world's fastest escape. if you left now, you could pretend the entire thing never happened.
you sloppily slung your bad over your shoulder as you headed for the door.
“hey wait.”
you froze. you knew that voice, the same voice that practically ended the delegate of america’s career by asking questions even the chair could barely understand.
slowly and painfully, you turned around with a smile plastered over your face. juhoon stood infront of you with a hand shoved in his pocket.
he was even prettier up close.
“hello!”
smooth. real smooth yn. you finally accomplished your childhood dream of beating michael jackson at being the smooth criminal.
for a moment, neither of you said anything before he started, “so…”
you blinked as you felt your pulse spike. “so…?”
“do you usually confess to people using anonymous chits? or was it just me?” he smiled.
you immediately covered your face. “oh my god.”
there it was, that beautiful laughter again.
“i knew it was you.”
“what? how?”
“you looked like you were about to pass away when she read it.”
you groaned. “that obvious?”
“very.”
your heart skipped a beat, maybe two, or more, you could barely with him being so close to you. to your surprise, he didn't seem uncomfortable. if anything, he looked amused. “good thing I thought it was cute.”
you stared at him as your brain stopped functioning completely. “wait,” you said. “seriously?”
“seriously.”
The smile he gave you was enough to make your heart perform several dangerous gymnastic manoeuvrers. from somewhere behind him, the delegate of canada shouted, “JUST ASK FOR HER NUMBER ALREADY!”
the entire room erupted into laughter (again). juhoon rolled his eyes. “ignore him,” he said.
“trying to.”
“is it working?”
“not at all.”
he laughed again before pulling out his phone. “since you wanted to talk after the committee…”
a few taps later, you handed it back. there it was. you secured his contact.
“see you around?” he asked.
you smiled. “yeah. i'd like that.”
as he walked away, the delegate of canada gave you an exaggerated thumbs-up from across the hallway.
now this was a story to tell your grandkids, amiright… no? okay…
Knowing that this life will eventually become a distant memory once I shift and live out thousands of other lives with my S/O puts me at so much ease. My struggles aren't permanent and I have infinite other lives to live.

In the comments, @throwawayyyyyyyyyyy111111 has pasted a link to a 230+ pages Google doc which they had created and pilled in majority of @hrrtshape (deactivated) posts/asks. Personally, I don't know this blogger since i only joined tumblr in march this year but yeah I was curious, im always curious so i searched the link up immediately.
I read the first page AND I FEEL LIKE EVERY SHIFTER NEEDS TO READ THIS! I know the doc is very very long.. but I think it's quite worth it if you're doubting shifting or just unable to shift.
