In light of Rick Riordan’s statement concerning Israel and Palestine, I cannot in good conscience support any Riordan content, including books and, unfortunately, the new PJO series.
It’s cowardly to present this as a “both sides” conflict when Israel is perpetuating genocide against Palestinians, committing war crimes, and plaguing social media with heinous propaganda that blames Palestine for everything (especially when Israel has been caught in numerous lies)
if you can’t condemn genocide, you might as well be condoning it. Silence only helps the oppressors.
All this is to say, this blog is going on an indefinite hiatus until one or both of these things happen:
Riordan educates himself and releases a new statement in support of Palestine and condemns Israel (no ‘both sides’ bullshit)
Palestine is safe and free
