Will solar panels work during a blackout, and will your home feel the effects of a power outage?
[At] the end of my first year, the power co has paid me for surplus energy (net production). There seemed to be some question as to whether they would or would not do this. Anyway they did pay me (it’s a tiny amount but it is proof that they do pay and that my system is covering all of my electrical needs. It will be more next year (again not a large amount but its always better to get something then nothing), because phase II did not go into operation until late September. Also the power year starts on May 1st and ends on April 30th . So I actually managed to net positive with only 11 months of solar capacity. Thanks, Rich S.
