technically it's sol-ari-asu but it is ok with any variant or other pronunciation. it also enjoys being referred to as grub if you don't mind. other options include homunculus, creature, critter, etc. Don't think too hard on the it/its usage I just like it.

small update! I will politely request you to funnel all future non-request asks to @grub-yap (: all past grub yaps should be logged there to some scuffed degree, but I would like keep this blog art-focused so I might delete them eventually. However I still do wanna chat and answer headcanon asks n such, so that's where it'll all happen instead. If you have an ask logged rn it will answer them on there as well, excluding the one butterrabi ask bc I've saved a draft under that one already hehe.

edit: have gone through and deleted some of the older grub yaps. Any with reblogs/comments will remain. Recent ones will stay up for another day or so. Do you have any advice for beginner CRTOA players?

Seeing as I played TOA obsessively when I first got into it last anni uhh I don't know if I have a lot of good advice for anything besides that friend anon.

Early-game TOA has changed quite a bit since even I started, and it kind of depends how intensely you wanna get into the game. I guess the best advice is to build one team at a time? Like with stardust and milky way coming out and excluding moonlight since I am going to assume you're mostly f2p at this point (a good choice), just focus on whoever the most recent empty spot is (I haven't looked at their roles) to have good dark + light teams. From then just build whoever comes out and cobble teams where you can. It kind of just comes down to loyalty and playing long enough through events: there's not a great way of speedrunning through TOA early game.

You can very much use rares and commons to a decent degree in most modes, and if it's been a while since a new cookie was added to a element/role I'd say it's not even worth building them until the next one comes out (ex it's expected we'll get a new wind support sometime soon, so don't worry about getting greenbell up).

Equipment came down to obsessively doing raids for me...but I have no clue what the new raid reward system will be so I can't really comment.

Do story mode!! Like completely!! As far as I know the rewards are better now than a year ago and they are very worth for early game players, then when you get more comfy you can try hard mode. Glass Labyrinth as well, rewards are very good since they offer some epic cookie and artifact chests (big recommend on Iris, even with Blue Mallow out she's still a great dps w Dew's basic attack synergy, if you can get them both.)

Seasonite is hell for everybody. Nothing much can be done about that.
