A Theory on the Heart of Innocence
Humans fall into three categories:
- with a core of "the Heart";
- with a core of Noah;
- neither.
Exorcists are technically the equivalent or counterparts of both Noah and Akuma. "The Heart" is the core and piece within an Exorcist which is a Noah's equal. Though, while still being part of said body, "The Heart" is hidden within an Exorcist, the person keeping hold of which still being able to control their core, in a way, not being to use and being able to use at the same time(I know it kind of doesn't make sense, but let's not forget that the Noah "are both human and inhuman" and their home is both "in this world and not in this world".). Reason as to why it's so easy for them to defeat Akuma.
Akuma and Innocence are both evolving weapons used by the Noah and Exorcists, the difference being, Exorcists need Innocence to fight, while Noah don't necessarily need Akuma for battle.
Innocence are what lets the Noah equivalent piece "come out of its hiding place", so Crystal Innocence, for example, is an evolved state of Innocence in which that core peeks out a bit. And just like how if an Akuma evolves, it has a higher chance of killing off an Exorcist, an Exorcist whose anti-Akuma weapon has evolved or is at a higher level, has a much higher chance of defeating a Noah.
Akuma can be chosen only by the living, hence why the Earl is in need of them to call out a name, and Exorcists can only be chosen by the dead, though, they can obviously only choose from those who contain a "Heart". The dead are weak to Dark Matter, and the living are weak to Innocence, making said people compatible with each of the power-sources.
Even though the Heart is a core, it is retrievable, but only and only when it is out completely so the Exorcist containing it can use it to its full potential, and said Accommodator is dead as dust.
So, to summarize, Akuma + Noah = - Innocence, just, they're ran differently....kind of like Stalin and Hitler....Â
