After hearing and seeing the arirang album and tour, I don't get the hype over jungkook. Clearly, the company is trying to market him as the michael/justin/harry of the group, but he clearly isn't. Jimin is clearly the best dancer, performer, and vocalist of the group. Jungkook can clearly sang, but he has no range. He literally sounded the same on every single song on arirang while jimin was getting praised for all the multiple vocal tones he showcased on the album. Hell jimin is even a better songwriter than him, but it doesn't fit the narrative that the company is trying to push.

But you brining up songwriting makes me remember that rolling stone interview they had a while back. I saw the quote he gave on it where he was like

“if armys want me to write songs I will.”

And that genuinely had me stumped cause what do you mean? Why are we letting armys (who will literally hype any pile of trash just to kiss these men’s’ collective asses) dictate whether or not you lock in and be creative?

He can confess to a lack of real passion or drive on multiple occasions, never reach to actually progress his talent and instead just sits on his ass until somebody tells him what to do. But still gets heralded as a prodigy? I don’t view that man as a genuine artist. He’s just someone who’s competent enough to be an above average idol.

Seeing how viral jimin has been going the entire arirang album/tour due to his vocals, performance, and hair, I've noticed how taehyung has been trying to copy jimin and failing to get the same results. Jimin is hard carrying this tour on his back while the other 6 look cringy af. Jimin is the only member who vibes well with the dancers and is able to keep up with them on stage without looking awkward. Jimin is literally the only person doing what choreography they are doing right. Jimin is carrying that 2.0 choreography on his back. They need to thanking their lucky stars that they have Jimin or else they would have been screwed.

I genuinely only interact with Jimin fan cams tbh. Like I have no idea what the other members are doing on the tour.

The only reason I still have interest in looking at videos is to see what Jimin’s hair looks like and if he’s switched up new outfits.

Outside of that though, after watching Ariana’s opening night, I think it showed me that you don’t even need continuous heavy choreo if the stages are well thought out and you have engaging elements through the show.

She wasn’t doing anything intricate with choreo herself. She was honestly walking around mostly and only had 7 or 8 back up dancers. But she had a really good narrative thing going on throughout the concert that genuinely made it interesting to watch. Like at no point was I ever bored watching that livestream.

Had BTS done the same, my review of this tour wouldn’t be nearly as poor. With 7 people, you’d think it’d be the easiest thing to pull off, but individually most of BTS just aren’t that great of performers. And it does suck that it pretty much has become heavily reliant on Jimin to deliver any real excitement.

I also don't get that if they wanted to glomp onto a member of BTS for clout, why they don''t just target V because Felix's vocal range plus the whole influencer persona matches him way more. Just more evidence that a lot of kpop fans only care about visuals and it's only happening because Felix has a very vague resemblance to Jimin if you have bad eyesight

(Speaking of bad eyesight the Jimin normal log was so cute even though I know it's only cute because I have this massive soft spot for jimin. I'm not watching 6 minutes of anyone else packing their suitcase. Anyway there's a bit where Jimin squints at the camera because he doesn't have his contacts in and I also squinted at my phone because I also didn't have my contacts in and it was literally the blind leading the blind. I feel such a kinship to Jimin with our bi-ness (alleged) and short sight)

Jimin has such a unique looking face I genuinely don’t think there’s an idol out there that resembles him at all. If I were to give that to anybody, I’d say Taemin but that’s only barely because they have similar features.

I wouldn’t even say that it’s only looks that their chalking up his similarity to Jimin with though. It’s definitely the designated androgynous member spot that they’re clearly after and Taehyung isn’t androgynous.

Genuinely don't understand why they compare that guy with jm like babe we're not equal and not at all in the same boat so get off. Like i can never go from jm to anyone else. If i ever stop stanning jm then then k-pop itself is over for me and probably stanning any celebrity like jm is the only second and last celebrity I'm stanning. The standard is too high to match and where would I get someone so freakin relatable? I have cried for that guy and you're telling me to stop biasing him? Never.

It’s such an weird phenomenon with those people cause to continuously drag someone that you also use as a metric and as promotion tactic for the person you stan is crazy. But that’s kpop stans for you.

Nevermind the fact that the majority of skz stans are ex armys. You can tell they’re upset that Jimin didn’t fall off after he got out the military because they wanted Felix to have the type of clout Jimin has. Him being blonde and having long hair was his only identifier and now that Jimin’s swooped in and took that, they’re even more pissed.

But there’s literally nothing special about him at all. Nothing engaging and no real discernible talent. Just endless brand deals to get his face out there.

He’s literally just a not as attractive Taehyung variant.

Ariana’s tour is sooo good. Absolutely love the VCR’s and the storyline they tell throughout the show. The idea behind it is great.

The stage sets & production were also good. Handful of backup dancers that are actually coordinated and not distracting.

The song selections, her singing. The outfits are beautiful. And I’m so happy I was able to catch supernatural. The way they planned this out like the MV for her to ascend was so amazing and smart.

I know exactly what this person is saying. I can even think of the specific accounts doing this. And I guess I could give them the benefit of the doubt but I'm also not stupid, I know homophobia when I see it. Like it doesn't need to be extreme, they don't need to say they would hate Jimin if they found out he liked man, it's enough for them to be constantly making it very clear that they would strongly prefer for Jimin to be straight.

And there's also the hypocrisy. Just today I say this situation where a fan posted a video where it looked like Jimin was checking out one of the female dancers but then they deleted the post after they were told that he was actually looking at fans and it was just the angle that made it look like he was looking at the dancer. Then certain accounts got upset over that and reposted the video themselves saying that there was nothing wrong with Jimin liking women. I and had a few opinions on that. First is that there's a difference between liking women and checking out a woman who kinda works for you in front of a crowd of your fans and I don't think Jimin is the type to be unprofessional like that. Second is that these are the same accounts that would act very upset if the video was implying Jimin was checking out a guy instead. They would go on and on about bad fans taking things out of context but they're okay with misrepresenting the situation if it makes Jimin seem straight.

A similar happend a few weeks back in a livestream when RM and V were calling Jimin manly and full of testosterone because he doesn't eat desserts which is obviously a joke but these fans were using it to prove that Jimin is actually super manly. But it's hypocrisy again because these are the same people that always complaing whenever someone uses that video of Jimin at his face fanmeet giving fans a thumbs down for calling him manly, saying that it's out of context and he never said he isn't manly. But first does it matter that much if he was talking about something else in that clip when he did disagree with fans calling him manly in a different situation anyway? And second isn't that the same things they're doing? Jimin obviously isn't the kind of guy who thinks eating dessert is unmanly and real real shouldn't do it but these people are okay with portraying him like that just like they're okay with portraying him as the type of guy who ogles women that are just trying to do their job. As long as they get to prove he's the furthest thing from queer, whether it's his sexuality or gender, than they're fine with taking things out of context and making Jimin seem like a douche.

And that's how you know that these people aren't just tired of shippers or just wanting people to respect Jimin. They're just homophobic but they know that's a bad look so they use the shipper excuse. And I don't like shippers either but funnily enough I can say that without being homophobic, it's really not that hard.

What are your thoughts on army’s wanting BTS to headline the Super Bowl? I feel like non-american army’s really do not get the scale of how racist american football fans can be. Like I lowkey would not want that for BTS. I get that it’s good exposure, but I don’t really think it’s worth it.

Well they’re doing FIFA which is bigger than the Super Bowl so they’ll still be getting good exposure.

I need to say something that's been making me extremely sad lately. pjmtwt used to be a safe space for bi people, but the way things have been lately is destroying what was once a healthy space. This erasure and inflammatory rhetoric is terrifying and incredibly damaging. Under the guise of fighting shippers, a hostile environment full of disgusting rhetoric has been created. I'm sorry for the rant, I didn't even have the courage to post about this discomfort on my own X profile because I know the kind of comments I would receive and how much more hurt I would feel.

I think any real response I could have to this depends on if it’s in relation to Jimin specifically or not. I know you mentioned shippers and the majority of pjms just don’t want him to be shipped with the other members. Which I also don’t want.

But like I previously said. Some of them still have been doing too much in that same breath while fighting against that though.

Like there really has been an uptick in the weirdness on pim twitter. Not anything super drastic but enough just to make me side eye people.

Cause how can you type this out call it an "hot take" and over 100 people agree with you?

People can say that there’s a difference between “date” and “be attracted to” but nobody would be dating a same gendered person if they weren’t attracted to them in some way. And I still will just never buy the “he’s too good to date a man” excuse because Jimin’s a man himself and women can still be shitty.

But moving past any relation to Jimin though. I can understand how certain rhetoric can still be hurtful because it still applies to you being bisexual. So I am sorry that the environment has become unsafe for you in that regard.
