So sorry for vanishing for a month, third quarter got wacky and then COVID-19 happened and my routine got flipped upside-down. I swear I can never consistently RP, lmao.

Also, uh, I’ve been kinda avoiding this blog because I wanted to... close down romantic shipping and I’ve been very scared to announce that. I don’t want to bum anyone out or hurt anyone’s feelings who I’d planned a ship with or who was quietly thinking about it. 

 I’ve just been thinking about Pascal’s canon partner in my solo verse and how much they love her, even with separate verse rules it just started to feel kinda wrong to me to have them date anyone else, even if I am curious on how they’d be with other muses. It’s not official yet, but... yeah. That’ll probably happen.

“Ah.” Some of the names were familiar: Posideon and Perseus and Pegasus. Klaus didn’t pay much attention to myth in general, but he knew some Greek myths. 

“I’m an Aries,” he offered. Of course he didn’t believe in star signs or horoscopes or any such nonsense (and hopefully Pascal didn’t either), but maybe there was some kind of myth they knew around Aries. “Is there anything special about that?”

“You are? I didn’t know that!” Sure, Pascal didn’t actually believe in astrology,  but they had a secret habit of reading all about it, and not once did they pick up on Klaus being an Aries. Goes to show that it is bunk, they thought, but would that stop them from continuing to try to analyze people and read horoscopes? Not at all.

 “...Wait, when is your actual birthday? I need to know, for... reasons.” Pascal gave Klaus a slightly lopsided grin, and then winked. “Reasons that definitely don’t pertain to me getting you something, no, definitely not.”

They then looked up in recollection. “That one is associated with the golden ram that, on Hermes’s orders, rescued... oh, I forgot their names. I don’t know every single myth, unfortunately. I should read about that one again!”

"Happy birthday. When you're up for a drink, let me know. I have a scotch I've been dying to open."

“Thank you! It has, indeed, been a happy birthday.” Pascal flashed a smile at Robert. “And--heh--I could always use a drink, if I’m honest. Whenever you want to open that scotch is fine by me.”

“It’s my birthday today! But don’t worry, just your company is enough! And usually, I don’t plan things for it, heh.”

Pari handed them over a box, inside being a rather witty mug. Well, witty in a sense. 

“And there was one.. other little thing.”

Pari then very quickly pressed her lips to their cheek, the reason for her bashful demeanour coming to the fore.

Pascal laughed after opening the box. "Oh my, it's perfect! In fact, I think I have a new favorite mug!" They winked at her, and then placed the mug back in its packaging for the moment to keep it a bit safer.

What happened next made them almost drop it, but they thankfully didn't, and they felt their face heat up.

"O-oh, wow, heh, I believe I have something for you too, then…"

And with that, they gave one small kiss to each of Pari's cheeks.

The Soldier lets out a little gasp, and then their face broke into a grin. "Oh my goodness, thank you!" they exclaim, taking the cake.

They weren't expecting her to actually bake them one, and they're definitely going to savor it!

How to uplift & love lesbians in the rpc (& hopefully always??) even if you yourself are not a lesbian:

listen to lesbians?? esp trans lesbians and/or lesbians of color. we’re not a hive mind and we’re gonna vary depending on the person lmao.

if a character you’re playing is revealed to be a lesbian then it’s time to hang up the ships you have with men (because no, you can’t be a lesbian and date men, that’s Kinda A Thing), change your muse’s bio and rules, and move the fuck on. maybe make a psa post if you’re feeling sparky. 

this isn’t the time to make “””””aus””””” where your lesbian muse is bi, dig your heels into the ground, or go “canon divergent” or w/e just so u can continue to ship them w/ men. That’s overtly shitty.

if you see friends doing this shit, you need to tell them to curb that shit. It’s not the time to be like “Well it’s their RIGHT to—” NAH DUDE, it’s erasure. period.

This is related to the first one, but also UNLEARN LESBOPHOBIA. 

If someone says you’ve done something lesbophobic take a step back, evaluate, and then be better going forward. Dont play the keyboard bongos whilst insisting that you’re really in the right or guilt-trip the person telling you (ei: “im sorry i’m a horrible person and should die”)

Actively support lesbians. Trans lesbians and Lesbians of color. Older lesbians and baby lesbians who are just figuring themselves out. Lift their voices and make them feel loved and valued!! It’s easy and free!!!

Take an interest in lesbian muses! Again. Especially lesbian muses of color and trans lesbian muses. They need love! A lot of times people kinda. lose interest in muses that they don’t think are as “shippable”. 👏 f/f 👏 ships 👏 are 👏 good 👏 ships! 👏

ALSO FUCKING LEARN THAT COMP-HET IS A THING. A bunch of lesbians have dated men in the past before they realized who they were. They may have dated men to actively suppress that part of themselves. If a character who is later confirmed to be a lesbian has had relationships with men that doesn’t invalidate her sexuality. Thank you.

"Aww, thank you! It's very sweet of you to offer, your baking is lovely, but you don't have to do that. Lord knows that I don't need any more desserts."

But the look in Pascal's eyes gave them away. Yes, they'd like Bella to bake a cake for them. They'd like that very much, in fact.

Maxwell was visibly struggling to keep down all the words he wanted to say. It was like someone had crammed a fistful of worms into his mouth and he had to choose between swallowing and the awful alternative. “...Happy early birthday,” he finally spat out. Being nice was sooooo hard.

Pascal stared up at him, brows furrowing as he watched the cogs in the other's brain work to find something civil to say, but as soon as the words came out, their expression softened. Probably to the softest, most neutral it's ever been around Maxwell.

A wry smirk—one from believing that Maxwell actually listened to them—wanted to replace that neutrality, but they forced themself to look happy and sincere.

"…Thank you very much, I appreciate it."

“I will go and have a drink to your healzh.” Of course, that drink might be arsenic, but Pascal didn’t need to know that. “Have a good day tomorrow.” The Soldier was vibrating with the effort to leave without saying anything negative. Once he was in private, he was going to put his own head through a wall, but that was his own problem.

"You, um, have a good one tomorrow, too." Forcing their smile to look a little larger, they also stuck out their hand, offering to shake Maxwell's.

And while, for once, Pascal didn't believe that they needed to apologize, wanted to apologize, they did anyway. "I do apologize for my… animosity towards you. Perhaps it was a bit much, and only fueled the fire." They couldn't even believe what they were saying, and were internally rolling their eyes. While they might pretend to forgive and forget, they never really did either, even over little things.
