being bisexual and having different feelings when ur attracted to guys than when u are to girls is so hard to explain bc being attracted to a guy is like “ah” and being attracted to a girl is like “oo” but that doesn’t make any sense to anyone but me
I support the gay clefairy. Reblog if you support the gay clefairy too.
REBLOG IF IT’S OKAY FOR YOUR FOLLOWERS WHO ARE STRUGGLING WITH THEIR GENDER IDENTITY/SEXUALITY TO MESSAGE YOU FOR ADVICE, SUPPORT OR HELP
please, it’s pride month.
Healthy alternatives to “it’s okay”:
I appreciate your apology.
Please make sure it doesn’t happen again.
I am working on forgiving you.
Apology accepted.
Thank you, but I am still having trouble accepting your apology.
Please do better next time.
I can see that.
We’ll need to work together to move on from this.
Players will now be able to change a character's gender at any point
Electronic Arts have announced today (June 2) that all gender-based boundaries have now been removed from The Sims. Until now, the popular video game series has restricted certain clothing, hair styling, body shape, walk type and voice options to either male or female characters. However, with a free update made available today, all options will be available to all characters regardless of their gender. Electronic Arts said in a statement to press today that it wanted to “make sure players can create characters they can identify with or relate to through powerful tools that give them influence over a Sims’ gender, age, ethnicity, body type and more”.

chrome extensions for disabilities masterpost
I have seen a lot of posts on here talking about individual extensions for chrome to help people, but I haven’t seen a place where they’re compiled together. So here you are! (If you find anymore, let me know!)
edit: ublock, stylish with lowercase text theme, and No more Tumblr players was added, other extensions masterposts section added, no caps was removed font/text
no caps - Makes everything lower case (found to contain malware)
Stylish: download different themes that can help with accessibility (lowercase text theme can be found here, works like no caps)
Open Dyslexic: changes the font to Open Dyslexic and makes it larger. Personal favourite.
Dyslexie: changes the font to dyslexie and allows change to font size and colour (blue). Can be turned off. (Doesn’t seem to work on facebook)
Font Changer: Allows you to change the font on specific website or on everything using a Google Font. I believe you can also upload your own, if there’s a specific font you need.
BeeLine Reader: Uses a gradient so your eye follows along one line to the next
overlays/colour change
Color Overlay - Irlen Filter for Chromebook: Puts a coloured overlay over the screen. can choose colour and opacity.
Sunglasses: Tints the screen grey to reduce contrast
Desaturate: Removes all colour and makes everything a greyscale
High Contrast: Change contrast or invert colour scheme
Deluminate: Similar to High Contrast, but tries to keep photos in tact
G.lux: Makes the colour of the display change depending on the time of day (also cuts down on blue light so it’s easier to fall asleep)
reduce visual distraction
Readability: Can change things such as margins, colours, etc… as well as reduce visual business
Ad Block Plus: blocks ads. What more needs to be said?
µblock: Similar to Ad Block, but it uses less memory and CPU and doesn’t allow sponsored ads
FlashControl: Stops flash animations running by themselves
Hide GIFS: Allows you to keep GIFS from displaying
Text Mode: Loads pages in black/white, covers images, with text only.
audio
No more tumblr players: disables audio plays on blogs when you’re on them (aka no more autoplay audio)
SpeakIt!: Reads small section of highlighted text aloud
Chrome Speak: Reads small section of highlighted text aloud
Announcify: Reads full web pages. Warning: may stop in the middle of text or not read for the full thing.

lesbians who have anorexia or bulimia are wonderful. the nature of eating disorders brings so much shame and isolation but i want to say that you do need to be ashamed and you do not need to pull away. no matter how you are in relation to your eating disorder, no matter your size or status of diagnosis, or no matter how feel about yourself: there is so much love and compassion out there for you. you all are amazing and fantastic women that bring so much beauty and life into this world.
I haven’t seen a lot of posts that shed some positivity for non-binary Muslims who wear the hijab – I personally sometimes feel it’s frustrating that people see hijabi non-binary people as “female” just because the hijab is an obligation for women. My hijab does not define my gender; only my obligation to my God and my religion!
Shoutout to all non-binary hijabi Muslims out there; you are valid and Allah loves you, insya-Allah!
I wish bisexuality and lesbians etc had been explained to me as a child so I didn’t feel so fucking confused and wrong for crushing on girls all the time. Like you don’t understand how much more confident in my sexuality and myself I would have been if I had just been told that these feelings were normal and fine too. I wouldn’t have thought I had this huge dirty secret I had to keep to myself. I would have felt equal and the same as my peers and not insecure and ashamed of myself. So don’t fucking tell me that the representation of LGBT+ people isn’t just as important to kids. This is when they are growing up and finding out things about themselves, and knowing that there are options and different types of sexualities and all of them are normal and fine and not wrong can be the most character building thing they could discover.
A federal judge ruled Mississippi's ban on same-sex adoption is unconstitutional.
It’s official: A federal judge has overturned Mississippi’s ban on same-sex couples adopting children. That means it’s finally legal in all 50 states for a same-sex couple to adopt.
Mississippi’s law banning same-sex adoption went into effect in 2000. Alabama, Florida, Nebraska and Michigan all had similar bans in place, but while theirs were all overturned, Mississippi’s remained. Until now.
U.S. District Judge Daniel Jordan issued a preliminary injunction against the ban, citing the Supreme Court’s decision legalizing same-sex marriage nationwide last summer. The injunction blocks Mississippi from enforcing its 16-year-old anti-gay adoption law.
The Supreme Court ruling “foreclosed litigation over laws interfering with the right to marry and rights and responsibilities intertwined with marriage,” Jordan wrote. “It also seems highly unlikely that the same court that held a state cannot ban gay marriage because it would deny benefits — expressly including the right to adopt — would then conclude that married gay couples can be denied that very same benefit.”
This is an incredible moment, y’all. Families are families, no matter what we look like. Congratulations especially to you, Mississippi. <3
