I was numb and in complete disbelief about Liam’s death until Louis posted, but then the floodgates completely opened, and I’m struggling to close them.

I can’t put into words the grief I’m feeling. It’s like I’m grieving a close friend and a stranger at the same time.

I adored Liam. He was my favourite member of 1D from pretty much the start. He was sweet and kind, funny and talented, and boy was he a great performer.

He brought me and so many others, so much joy, but he clearly struggled to find that same kind of joy for himself. He was a soft, emotional boy, who was not cut out for the life he ended up living. My heart absolutely breaks knowing of the pain and despair he must have suffered over the years.

I hope that if there is anything after this insanity we call ‘life’, that he is finally at peace.

Rest easy Liam, you will live on in the hearts of all of us who loved you ❤️
