In spite of her rigorous routine back at the farm, Naomi often found a craving to get her legs moving just for the sake of it. It had been another of those afternoons where the itch became downright insatiable, and before she knew it, she was already traversing through the green landscapes of Arcadia with no destination in mind, humming an upbeat tune as she idly swayed her head side to side.
She hadn’t taken notice of the stranger until their voice interrupted her quiet surroundings, causing her to turn her head in surprise before flashing them a smile.
“Yeah, it’s not too far off from here, actually, “ she said. “It’ll only take several minutes, so I could walk you right over there if you’d like! How about it?” Having some company for a little while didn’t sound so bad, either.
Nami’s request was met with a jubilant smile by the stranger. A young woman, likely near in age to herself, but with a youthful brilliance the wanderer herself lacked. She seemed nice. People in these small communities often were, spared of the cutthroat business of big cities.
“Yeah. That’d be cool,” she agreed casually, shuffling her pack on her shoulder. It wasn’t particularly heavy, as she had learned to be a light traveler, but she was more than ready to lay down a while.
“... Thanks,” she tacked on, if only to be sure her guide didn’t have a change of heart.
