Before I started Full Sail University I was working for Travis Air Force Base at Pride Industries as a custodian, where I would daydream about the possibility changing my life for the better thats where Full Sail University came in.
I had always thought that I wanted to work in a traditional environment setting, which still a solid option, however I decided to merge my unique aspirations within the music & entertainment industry, to incorporate the corporate world; with the entertainment world. Full Sail University is the perfect example of sorts!
While working on base & living in a homeless shelter, I was so thankful to be able to work for money to purchase a car & an apartment. I randomly received a letter from Section 8, whom approved my housing voucher. This meant that I would no longer be homeless. Which was one of the most humbling & grateful experiences I ever had in a long time. In addition to not only receiving good news in less than ideal circumstances, I was browsing through my phone & found Full Sail University. My mind was made in that very moment where my destiny was shifting to.
Because of that, I reached out to the college & expressed my hightended interest. I had some things requested of Full Sail, which I completed in order to attend the university. This led to me finishing my prerequisites. I also quit my job on base 9/07/18, in order pursue & further my education in the Music & Entertainment business.
Ill always be forever grateful to Travis air-force base for having my back & always will have a good report with them. However, they provided me the foundation I needed to spread my wings & fly, that is indeed what I did!
Ever since I decided to pursue my passion, life has been throwing me curve balls left to right. I feel like the tactic that the world has been providing me, is essentially getting me ready for how business is truly ran in the industry. I feel like I am more focused than ever now, since anything bad that can happen has happened & I haven’t let up yet, so I feel like maybe this path is actually meant for me!
