This is the absolute sweetest thing I’ve ever read I just oisufhdjdjdjd I don’t even know how to respond omg- I’m so happy I’m able to inspire and awhhh that’s so sweet awhwhwhhw.
I work so hard to make sure my characters connect with the audience and stand on their own so I’m glad that’s coming across. It’s so incredibly important to individualize your characters. Plus, details make the end product so worth it. When the reader can analyze a scene and point out small hints or Easter eggs about the world you’re writing you know you’ve done it right. I’m always working to get better at these things :)
I hope you’re getting good info and notes out of my work tho!! I lowkey feel like I just spam a bunch of words and end up with something so I’m glad you’re getting a study out of it JSJS!! Ignore my horrific grammar mistakes and lack of editing… ((Nightvisions should be cleaner than Lament in terms of structure and editing pff))

okayokay okay sooo im really curious about something! I know that in lament we didnt get any info on Lance (chance's twin/ brother) so im not sure if he even exists overall in your AUs- BUT
If he does will he ever be mentioned or appear in Nightvisions??? I think it might make an interesting plot point
To be completely honest, I actually have never considered Lance to be apart of any of my works, including personal AUs.
Since I wrote Lament to be in line with canon Forsaken, and Lance isn’t technically lore canon, I didn’t include the guy.
So it’s probably unlikely that he’ll show up in Nightvisions? I do think it’s interesting as a lore point if Chance did have a brother, but it doesn’t necessarily line up with what I set up. (which focuses the fact that Chance’s high society life without companionship left them a little under experienced in social situations despite their confidence.)
If he was canon though, can you imagine?? The same dude that stabbed his own sibling is now the one getting romantic with them? And he’s a hacker?? Not to mention was a killer in purgatory and more stuff I can’t say yet.
There is absolutely no way he would be okay with any of that. I can imagine a plot line of Trap somewhat silently trying to win Lance over in a comedic sort of way. It would be so goofy but so fun.
(Ignore my Chance design I’m still figuring em out)
All in all it is a concept I’m willing to look into. I think Chance having someone who looked out for them even before Forsaken would be a cool concept, just not for the Lament writings probably. I honestly expect to include a decent range of characters for the side roles in the story, but I haven’t decided who and what yet.
(Except Shed and maybe 1x if I’m feeling brave. I can’t do my girl wrong. They’re both important to the story lowkey.)
Prob will see Chance’s parents tho. And Trap’s family too!

Nightvisions Chapter 1 is finally posted after 3 months..!!

This fic will follow a post Forsaken story based on Lament with lots of fluff and IChance healing after the events of purgatory. I do not know the specific details of the story, only story beats and other important bits so we’ll see how this goes. Lot of improv like last time.
Either way, if you’re interested, check it out :). Ima try to be consistent but honestly my writing times fluctuates a lot and is somewhat based on reader interest so we’ll see.
This jsab AU is based on modern fantasy world building with normal jsab storyline .-.
