going round and round in circles in my mind so much it's causing the floor to catch fire.

i'm really, REALLY trying to stay positive but all of my attempts at reaching out to an audience and getting commissions aren't working!!! i need to be able to make Some sort of income off this. i need to. but reaching out to friends with more followers is just. anathema to me. i can't do it. i can't rely on other peoples' generosity on a regular basis and this string of failures is driving me insane

i’ve decided to pick up a new rendering style! here are two attempts at testing it out, basically combining the shape-freedom of painting with the defining lines of defined black shading

so far i’m having a lotta fun!

hi my name is axel and my special skill is forgetting to upload things here o<-< sorry y’all!

i think i’m going to make this like my deviantart, that is, have mostly just finished stuff on here with sketchdumps when i do them. (if you want sketches as they come and like, full size, i did start up an art-only twitter! it fares... only slightly better than this blog ahaha, the handle is malusdraco_art)

anyone here watch jenna marbles? july was kind of a rough one, enough so that daily coping was watching her videos, i got inspired by one of the shots in her ‘i want a new face’ video and decided to do a study off a still

this study kinda... went its own way after a bit, and i gotta say i’m pretty happy

this is a design i got a while back from Zoomutt on deviantart, a very unusual stygian, i never draw them for some reason, it’s unfortunate because they’re so memeable

i got very artblocked one day and ended up doing a bunch of 30-second photostudies from line-of-action

great tool, reminded me JUST how rusty i am at figure studies

they got approved so i can finally post this! this is my MYO chittercida Rigel! i was so happy to get this slot and actually design a chitter for myself. turns out when i’m let loose? i make things spiky
