(Hi, I'm very tired and this randomly came into my head after realising how funny this could possibly be)
"I don't think we should be here." A violet drone spoke, her tail nervously swaying as she closely followed a scarred, black haired drone.
The drone in front turned to her, lapis blue optics stared at the tall, lavender hair drone with an odd expression. "Cake, we walked here, if something happens you can just fly us home." She attempted to reinsure, although her flat tone didn't seem to help with.
Cake walked to the blue drone's side. "I-I know Birdy, I'm just worried is all." Her optics briefly scanned Bird up and down, momentarily focusing on the smaller drone's mis-coloured core light before forcing herself to look her in the eyes.

(Was scratchin my head thinking about how to respond then thought of something equally amusing)
The calm after the blizzard wouldn't help with the nerves. Lizzy had been missing for some time. No trace of her found since the incident. That being said, searching this area has been, less than encouraged. Standing still, half covered in frost, was the reason why. J's ship stood like a small fortress amongst the snow. Still standing somehow after the blizzard, though very clearly hald buried. Likely setting back any work she had managed to do on it.
If anyone were to have seen the pink eyed drone, it would be the wastelands seemingly permanent sentinel. Fresh dragging marks leading away from what felt like a crash site of flight gone wrong. Making it's way towards the ship itself. These were the only indications of activity.
Cake noticed the half buried pod, her curiosity quietly peaked but her current anxiety kept her practically glued to her girlfriend's side. The fresh marks didn't help, only making her more nervous.
Bird soon noticed the pod as well, staring for a while before walking over to it and causing the purple drone to follow behind. Looking around for a possible entry point if it wasn't buried.
Luckily for Bird, the entrance had been dug out. There were signs of a struggle, gashes indicating the use of solver and claws. Though the door itself was shut and locked. The window covered long ago with discarded fabrics. All in order to keep some sort of privacy in the wasteland.
There was a small section where one could look through the fabric. A corner where it had failed to be covered. Looking inside, it was clean for sure. From what Bird would be able to see anyways. Along with a faint, pink glow-
"You have ten seconds to state your purpose for being here." Cake could feel the barrel of a gun being placed at her back. Not aiming for the head, instead J held her gun over the area of Cake's core. She stood behind them, having approached silently. A bag slung over her shoulder. The rattling inside said it was full of cans.
The blue drone narrowed her optics to try and get a better look inside, but that ended when she heard J's voice. Nearly snapping her head around and immediately seeing the fear in Cake's face, who had completely lock up when feeling the gun against her back.
"We were exploring." Bird said, her usually monotone voice holding a noticeably edge of fear of it with an undertone of another emotion but it was heard to figure out.
J eyed her suspiciously. Looking over her scars and then back to Cake. Features that told her this drone was atleast in part a DD. That meant an invasion on her hunting grounds in her books. She moved her gun hand, firing at the ground. Cutting a hole into the snow. A warning shot. She then moved to pass them, placing a hand on her door and opening it. Looking back at them, "explore somewhere else. I've got enough to deal with." Stepping her way inside. The door opening gave them a clearer view.
The inside was clean for what it was worth. Not much else to do out there. Laying on the ground and covered in a blanket was, Lizzy. A familiar [HIGH TEMP] warning flashing on her screen. The source of the pink light from within.
The two flinched at the shot, the hybrid briefly looking herself over before peering inside, making her optics hollow. The blue Solver drone did the same, though the optic under the crack noticeably twitched as she stepped back to her partner. "Is she okay?" She asked.
"Hell if I know" J snapped, looking back at them. "She came flying in like a bat out of hell and made it my problem. Every other day a new solver variant shows up." She sounded exasperated, between this and the blizzard it was easy to tell why. Walking further into the ship and dropping the bag, causing the cans to rattle. This caused one pink optic to blink on, the other still consumed by the symbol.
Blue optics remained on Lizzy for a while, the symbol putting her on edge before she slow started to walk inside, careful where she put each step.
"What are ya' doing?" Cake hurriedly blurted, hovering by the entrance, clearly unsure if she should even go in.
Both sets of optics turned to Bird. J looked a mix of shocked and angry. How dare she come in without permission? Though she quickly turned back to Lizzy when the blonde drone turned and rolled onto her stomache. Unlike most low oil states, she didn't seem aggressive. Rather she seemed delierious, drunk even. Vision trying to focus in on the blue eyed drone. All she could make out was blue eyes and black hair, making her half deliciously go "E-Emily?" A hopeful yet scared expression on her face.
"No you don't," J sighed, sitting Lizzy up and putting a can in her hands. "Drink that before you go crazy again, then you're out of here." Pointing to the can in Lizzy's hand. Lizzy looked down at the can then J, "huh?" Tilting her head with an unsteady look. J shook her head, "Do I have to treat you like a dog? Drink it." Starting to lose her patience.
Bird just stared back, her gaze harsh before she too focused on Lizzy. Her expression holding a mix of confusion and worry, not exactly sure what she's on about. She then spoke, "You might have to force feed it to her, I don't believe she knows or understands what is currently happening." her voice calm yet stern. Meanwhile, the hybrid creeped up behind the blue other, her expression more nervous than a mouse trapped in a cat's house.
J mumbled something angrily before taking the can. Opening the lid and doing just that. Lizzy didn't have the true awareness in that moment to really fight it. Thankfully a few moments after, Lizzy's screen flashed a [STABILIZING TEMPERATURE] before she blinked a few times. Her vision finally focusing back. First her eyes landed on J, making her scoot back a bit frightened. Looking between J and the other two drones. "What's going on? Where am I?" With J pinching her forehead. Already tired of this.
J looked at her and said, "I found you outside my ship going feral. You should be getting back to the colony before it happens again." Though the idea seemed to only make Lizzy more uncomfortable. Looking to the other two drones. "And, who are they?" J grumbled out, "I thought they were YOUR friends. They seemed worried enough to trespass." Crossing her arms. She was hoping that once Lizzy was calm, the other two drones would take her and leave her be in her solitude. Finger tapping her arm. Lizzy seemed anything but.
"I only walked in because of this one." The purple drone gestured to her girlfriend who took a quick glance before turning back to the other two drones.
"I don't know who she is, but she does look like my aunt and I was worried. It is basic empathy." Bird hummed, optics darting to J before snapping to the floor.
"Stuff like that is what makes a dead drone, that's a lesson you two should learn sooner than later." J hissed this, tail lashing. Lizzy sighed, rubbing her screen with her hands. The past few hours were hard to recall. Snow, internal heat rising, arguing with someone. She held her hands up in a way as to ask for a moment of quiet. "The three of us can talk outside," Lizzy spoke, looking to Cake and Bird. The look on her fave was calm but concerned. She of all people knew that currently, J was a ticking time bomb.
She looked to J, "before I do, just, thank you for not letting me die out there, I guess." Spoken in her usual tone, but more reserved and tired. J rolled her eyes, "if I did that, the weirdo gang would never let me have a moment of peace." Lizzy sighed, "yeah, whatever." Her voice was low in that response. J and Lizzy could certainly end up in a sass off in the right circumstances. The blonde drone stood, walking over to Cake and Bird. To the two drones it was an odd thing to see. She certainly looked like their aunt, but plucked out of a photo. In fact, she looked younger than the two drones themselves. "Me, you two, outside. Before corpo blows a fuse." Making a small jab at J who looked over, annoyed. Though she didn't say anything. Pointing to the door and stepping out. The dress she wore was tattered at the bottom. Torn up by her attempts at 'flight'.
Cake instinctively held Bird close when J hissed, her own tail going ridged whilst her partner just looked indifferent to mildly annoyed at the DD's reaction. Both soon watching the following events that proceeded before Lizzy came up them.
The blue Solver scanned her up and down, her face reverting to a blank look, pulling a face at the straight up uncannyness but didn't let it last long before both her and the hybrid drone went go outside.
Once they were safely outside, Lizzy turned to them. Letting out a sigh of relief as some of the tension fell off her shoulders. Though she kept a certain air of cautiousness. Turning to the two of them and looking them up and down for the first time. They were certainly unrecognizable. She once prided herself in knowing just about everyone in that bunker. Especially Cake, very clearly a hybrid of some kind. "I'm Lizzy, are you two from another colony? A fox den?" Trying to get a read on what she was dealing with. Making an attempt to sound authoritative. Her queen bee nature attempting to hide the feelings beneath.
The hybrid had an odd reaction, both due to not knowing what a fox den is and because a possibly younger-then-her version of someone she knows was trying to be an authority. "I don't know what a fox den is but I can say we're, technically speaking, from a different bunker." She said, her tail flicking as Bird studied this version of Lizzy further.
Lizzy sighed in what could be taken as relief. If they were from a different colony then they didn't know. "Didn't think there were any left, but it was hard to explore until now. You two got names?" Placing a hand on her hip. Her confident air was coming back. She thought they were brand new people, not really knowing that they were connected to an older version of herself.
A wide grin spread across the taller drone's face, her optics shimmering as an idea came to her head. She placed her own hand on her hip, mirroring the younger drone. "This black haired, blue eyed beautiful lady is my girlfriend Bird Sportsman. As for mine, that would be Cake V Doorman." She was practically laughing, much to her lover's concern. "And we're from a different universe."
Lizzy stared at Cake with an expression of disbelief. "You, actually expect me to believe that? I know you said I looked like your aunt, but that doesn't mean you're from another timeline or something. I'm probably related to her." She couldn't lie, for Cake atleast, she could believe it. Her hybrid nature was only possible at that time by self modification. This didn't look like that though, the whole design was streamlined instead of being free handed afterwards. Still, she wasn't going to just take that at face value. Things had gotten weird but not that weird.
"Well, how do you think I am related to her? Isn't Uzi an only child? Does Nori have a sibling?" She continued, a purr in her voice as her tail wagged behind her, fanged smile unmoving on her face.
Lizzy rolled her eyes, "Khan Doorman is a search and rescue drone. He probably has scattered squad members that share his name." Waving her hand. "Even then, anyone can say they're related to someone." Shrugging her shoulders, feeling like she was just being messed with at this point. "You got proof?" Placing her hands on her hips.
Cake wordlessly got her phone out, the back of it galaxy theme with the screen having a few cracks in it, and soon pulled something up on it.
It was a folder of countless photos that had many different drones in them, though that wasn't the focus as she was on a group of pictures that had four drones in them.
Cake herself obviously, an older looking version of Uzi that had a half cracked visor, a black hardhat, coat and chocker that had an amethyst in the middle and looking noticeably tired. And yet she was smiling in all of them, some were clearly only for her kid whilst others was this manic smile that would've fitted cleanly onto her younger self.
Another was clearly N, upbeat smile, swishing hairstyle and all even if it was tied back in a short bob of a pony tail. He did have some noticeable scarring on his neck from the times his head was taken off, a few on his arms and some on his chest that his clothes partly hid. Speaking of his clothing, they were the most different. His iconic trenchcoat having been replaced with a simple pastel yellow shirt with his hat sadly nowhere in sight.
And finally was young drone that looked like a shy version of N, pale hair covering on side of his face, a bright smile when he noticed the camera and looking bored when he didn't. He did have a tail head vaguely similar to Uzi's, it being a dirty bronze coloured thing with a shotty mohack of quills running down it back head but didn't show enough of itself to show how far it truly went.
Lizzy brought her hand up to the phone. A look of disbelief clearly on her face. N looked ao different. Not only older but less, buggy. "His arms..." she mumbled to herself. Seeing Uzi too. This was far too much. Her eyes turned back to them. That worried expression returning and overpowering what ever sense of authority she'd been trying to hold. The queen bee defense could only work so much. She stepped back then. "Ok, ok" holding her hands up, "then how in the god damn did you two get here? And WHY?" Her gaurd was up.
"Sci-fi non-sense portal."
"That isn't a joke." Bird hummed. "As for why, that is quite simple, it's my girlfriend's day off and we're going to explore. This place is also new and we want to see what's here." Her voice was calm and lackadaisical, almost sounding like she was just talking about the weather.
Lizzy put her hands to her face. "Oh geez you are her kid..." Looking more annoyed then anything. "Well if you want to explore, you can go to the outpost. Maybe find your parents." Holding her hands up. She looked a mix of annoyed and tired. Clearly not finding this joke as funny. Turning back to J's ship, "I can't go back right now."
"We don't know where it is though." The blue drone flatly stated, her optics focused on the pink drone.
Lizzy sighed, tapping her foot. She knew somewhere in her data was a map, thanks to her mom. But she couldn't exactly access that data of her free will. She only had a vague sense of the directions. Pointing off in the direction of the outpost, "keep going that way. If you fly, it's a straight line there." Not looking at them. It felt weird to do so. She wasn't sure how to wrap her head around the whole dimension hopping thing and honestly, she didn't want to. She just wanted them gone before Doll woke back up.
Cake peered in the direction Lizzy pointed to, trying to figure out the how long the walk would be from her current location.
Bird however approached, her face shifting to something a little softer. "Are you okay?" She asked, voice holding genuine concern. "If it's about the multiverse stuff then I can't say I blame you. It took a moment for me to process it too, especially due to the fact that me and my girlfriend actually got sent to two different worlds." There was a chuckle in her voice as the memory played in her head, it was unfortunately far from clear now but it didn't change the emotions she held.
"It's, a lot, right now." Still not looking at them, holding her hands up behind her head. Fingers spread in exasperation. "Just trust me when I say, you're better off exploring somewhere else, ok?" Her hands falling to her sides. She turned to them, "I'm sure your parents will be, uh, thrilled, to meet their children from another universe. Oh robo god I can't believe I just said that." Putting a hand to her head. Honestly, she wondered if she herself had any kids in this other world. But she knew asking that would mean they stuck around longer. "I can already hear Uzi, 'ew what I have a kid?' Then immediately 'oh sick I have a DD kid!" Half mumbling it. Feeling like she was going insane.
"Well, I know the feeling. I didn't know something called "The Solver" existed until a few months after I got my scars. Even then, I didn't fully realise that it was inheritly supernatural until I turned someone's internals into, for a lack of better phrasing, a sad dying creature." Again, her voice was monotone, almost sounding calm expect for the soft sigh at end. "Then a while after that I end up learning that the multiverse exist, it's honestly a miracle in hindsight I didn't lose it or something akin to that, because it would've been a bit understandable." She wasn't being serious and the smirk on her face confirmed it.
Lizzy looked back at her, confused. "The solver?" Pointing to Cake then. "Aren't YOU Uzi's daughter?" Before looking back at Bird. She looked a little less frazzled, but not by a whole lot.
(Hi, I'm very tired and this randomly came into my head after realising how funny this could possibly be)
