THE LAST OF US - Left Behind
âNice.â
We told her to stop eating the plants so now she just pretends.Â

Violet and Noah
Characters from my WIP, Violet's Secret Garden
bitches hate when other people are in the kitchen because theyâve spent their entire lives being criticized for doing tasks imperfectly and having their eating habits policed and now have incredible anxiety about other people judging their cooking choices that canât be easily explained in a few words as to why theyâre acting so hostile about someone else being near them during this very vulnerable process. itâs me, iâm bitches
I hate my brain so much.
I finally have an idea for a story. An idea I actually like.
But as soon as I sit down, my brain goes âLetâs make a moodboard first.â and then I look at pics for hours instead of writing...
Iâve been going through my books, and found a note in one of them from a lovely friend Iâve made here on tumblr. We talked almost every day, and then one day she just dropped out of social media.Â
I wasnât able to find her tumblr (she was going by picture-book-wolf), or her facebook, and I couldnât even send her an e-mail, because it wouldnât go through.
Itâs been a couple of years since then, and I still think about her sometimes.
So, Marija, I hope youâre doing well! â€ïž

Manuel Neuer: 35 Years, 35 Saves Collection: Part 4
Also the characters of ya novels are given teenage years to relate to audience but are in fact written as if they were much older people. Plus the actor who plays Kaz specifically is 28 and it furthers the fact they're trying to pull in older audiences. You did nothing wrong.
When I read ya I always imagine the characters as my age and since in fantasy books they don't have typical infrastructures (school,9-5 jobs, etc.. ) it's easy to place yourself in. Which is the whole point.
Creeping on children = bad.
Reading a book that says an age but never further shows anything that shows that characters age so you forget and then the display the character in a visual format as someone who is a decade older so you once again forget the person was og written with a younger age then you're on.
DOES NOT EQUAL BAD.
Was the post made in bad taste? Yeah. Because it shows how fcked Hollywood is.
But you didnt do anything wrong. Xx
Yes, yes, yes, all of this! Thank you, sweet anon! â€ïž
u rockin with pedophiliaâïž đ€ą why r u rb'ing posts abt simping over minors
Oh... God..
What posts? I reblogged a single post (1, one as in singular) about Kaz Brekker, and I did it because I found it a bit funny.
No, I'm not "rockin" with pedophilia, never did, never will.
1) I reblogged the post, because I love the series, and Freddy Carter is literally the same age as me. Older, even, to be exact. Not a minor.
2) I'm not even simping in that way. I just enjoy watching him on screen/reading about Kaz being the Bastard of the Barrel.
3) I'm fucking aro-ace, I have no sexual desire. HE'S JUST AESTHETICALLY PLEASING TO WATCH, BECAUSE HE'S SO GOOD AT PLAYING KAZ!
Me : I can't imagine simping over a character that's supposed to be 16/17 years old. I'm almost 28 now, it's just wrong.
Also me : đ„”đ„”đ„”
I'm thinking about making a side blog for my language learning journey.
I speak, like, 5 languages, might as well use them for fun.
âyou canât forget your mother tongueâ okay but have you considered bilinguals and polyglots whose first language isnât english and whose development during adolescence was shaped by consuming content and media only in english and have ever since viewed that second language, foreign to their own, as a better outlet for their emotions and thoughts? as Yiyun Li said âit is hard to feel in an adopted language, yet impossible in my native language.â
What should you be reading to maximize your language learning?
Itâs easy to get overwhelmed by the sheer amount of literature we can learn from. Baby books bore you, but youâre not ready for any type of novel, so whatâs left?
Here are some tipsÂ
For beginner/A1/A2 learners
Watch a YouTube video in your target language, then read the comments
youâll already have vocabulary from watching the video, most of the comments will probably use that vocab
itâs a short enough text that you wonât get fatigued
the only downside is that sometimes people utilize abbreviations and slang terms, but even these are good to know
Read news headlines and if you find one you understand almost fully, try to read the full article
sometimes the vocabulary used is not common in everyday usage, but itâs a total win for an A1 learner to fully read and mostly understand any text
while vocab is not used everyday, it will give you the ammunition to talk about that particular topic
Watch Netflix in target language with subtitles in the same language
believe it or not, you will learn to read better, especially because you donât have to understand written description of visuals (usually uses very niche vocab) or emotion
and now you can slow down or speed upÂ
I watched DARK in German before I felt like I could read a book, and I understood 85% of it. This is because I looked up some vocabulary in the first episodes and they continued to use it throughout the show so it really cemented in my head to the point where I donât even think about it. Now, I had to rewatch some conversations the characters had, but thatâs much better for understanding than switching it to English or looking up full phrases and sentences.Â
For intermediate/B1/B2 learners
read fanfiction
itâs ALWAYS good to read about something youâre interested in so if you like any major movies, books, television, this is the perfect option for you
most people use relatively basic language and you can choose the lengthÂ
find a comic book or graphic novel
like watching tv, that visual aid really helps with understanding of the plot without all those tricky descriptions
read a book in your target language that youâve read and loved in your native language
this is by far my favorite way
you donât have to worry about trying to understanding the bigger picture because you already know whatâs happening/what will happen, you really have to discover the meaning of each sentence and then you begin to picture the scene using only your target language
Check out my other post for methods of how to get the most out of reading !
Full credit to the creator @ ThePandaRedd on TikTok who actually made this video (if he contacts me to take this down I will) but I couldnât just not post yet another golden video of his after watching it...
Just in case people didnât believe that it was a real scene...
You should absolutely watch Pandaâs TikToks, not only are they a good way to ease into DC/Marvel history, but the dude is funny as fuck.
