Intro Post!!

So idk how to do this so well, but this is my ask and rp blog for my Lotf oc, Theodore Kingswell. I thought I'd start by giving some background and info on him, so here we are!

LET ME PREFACE THIS BY SAYING, IF ANYONE HAS A LOTF OC THAT HE COULD BE FRIENDS WITH, I'D APPRECIATE IT PLEASE CHAT HE'S MY SON 🙏🥺

To begin, Theo is 11 years old, 5'3" in height, and is a very sweet boy usually, yet can easily turn snappy and blunt when annoyed... luckily, he doesn't get annoyed too often. He has a hyperfixation on animals, especially crustaceans and birds, sometimes collecting feathers that have fallen to the ground.

To explain his eyes and a crucial detail about him, he has ocular albinism, which is albinism that affects the eyes specifically. This causes him to have very blurry vision, light sensitivity (which SUCKS on a tropical island), nystagmus (aka rapid eye movements that prevent focus), slightly misaligned eyes, and bad depth perception. Because of this, he is considered extremely clumsy on the island and falls a lot.

He is an only child and very close with his parents; he misses both of them dreadfully. Before the island he was a very smart boy with A's in all of his classes save a B in science.

What happens to him on the island, which is important to know how it all ends up for him so no one assumes things: He tries to stay brave, develops a habit of collecting pretty shells on the beach at night when he can't sleep, befriends people to the best of his abilities, and he somehow manages to survive? Insanely enough, he sorta just remains neutral to both Jack and Ralphs' sides and coasts through as well as he can, though he chooses to remain with Ralph, Piggy, and Simon most of the time.

*He thought on it for a second, but the answer was pretty simple and he brightened*

Oh! I really like soups or pasta of any kind. Spaghetti is really good. So is vegetable soup. Since on the island, I've gotten used to pork...not that I'm ungrateful! I just really miss other foods sometimes. Thank you for asking, though!

A play? I love plays! Of course I'll come see, and I can't imagine it being a "waste of time" at all! That seems a dreadful thing to say... As for the flowers, I saw a nice clearing in the forest where there was a ton of 'em growing. I'll grab ya some!

*He excitedly motioned for Mackerel to come along, and attempted to get to the clearing without tripping or falling down like usual, excited to have a new friend.*

"But I plan on branching out, especially for my latest show!"

*He squinted, trying to focus on the flowers in Mackerel's hands...he wondered how they could take a part in this upcoming show, but he supposed that that was the joy of theatre...making a wonderful and entertaining spectacle all from whatever you have and can piece together...sort of like building a society from the ground up, as all the boys had been trying to do on the island, or like his own vision slowly making more sense the longer he analyzed and squinted...which made him realize he was spaced out and he snapped out of it*

Yeah? I can't wait to see what you do with the show and the flowers! Remember, this is a good area for them...they seem to grow in pretty big groupings here. I appreciate you doing shows. That can be entertaining. Maybe that way Jack and Ralph can stop fighting for a night and just watch a play. *he half-jokingly laughed*

*he smiled a little less prominently than usual, glad for friendship and entertainment whilst stuck in such a place. He often wondered when rescue would come to them, but for now laid in the clearing and remained content with where he was at this moment*

*He nodded* Yeah... they seem intent on unrest...always running around doing something or another.

*he suddenly brightened, looking over at him*

But of course I will be there! Wouldn't miss your play for the world, my friend. And...don't worry, I don't think sticking together should be a problem for us. I'm just grateful that you decided to befriend me in the first place!

"I don't think the others understand how much we need each other. Not just as a tool, but a destiny. I couldn't do half the things I accomplished without someone helping for me, and I couldn't really live if I'm eternally on a lonesome. I think everyone's a little bit like that, so I greet with a smile!"

After shamelessly grinning for a moment, he had to cut himself off before he made any more remarks. Without the stop, Mackerel would have ranted for ages. It didn't feel like the time to dwell on what created a negative, but rather the positive capacity. Mackerel just sighed and tried admiring the sky like years ago.

You're right...I like your philosophy. I don't know where I'd be without a friend. Not many of the others quite hang out with me...not because they don't wanna, but because they've all forgotten themselves and how important community is. They busy themselves with work and savagery. It's good to have someone who seems to understand at least- I get judged for continuing to wear my full outfit every day, but its my way of holding on to home. *He had only noticed the boy as he had walked closer, now turning towards him with a small smile*

*truthfully, he had always been sort of awkward deep down...he sort of motioned to ask if he could sit with him. His mother always tells him that strangers are just friends who haven't been properly introduced. He was now trying to listen to her advice and hoped the conversation would continue.*

Thanks for the good luck wishes! I do TRY to stay optimistic...this place makes it kind of hard, but optimism is all I have here... my eyes are making things difficult daily, so I have to sort of trust the others to help a bit and hope I'm not on my own. I'm not totally sure what I'd do without the others.

*He awkwardly smiled again, feeling he had brought the conversation down a little too much...as he sometimes did when he wasn't on guard with his optimism*

What Do You Think Of Ralph, Piggy And Simon? (Asking On Behalf Of The Raliggymon Shippers)

Oh good! My first ask!

*he thought for a second before answering, tapping his chin*

They have turned out to be some of my favorite people on the island, honestly. I try to get along with everyone, and thankfully those 3 all have fantastic traits and have helped me personally to remain calm while we are stuck here...

Ralph may not have exactly..."volunteered" to be chief, but he tries his best and has a lot of good leadership qualities such as logic and bravery, whilst also trying to get us saved. 🐚

Meanwhile, Piggy was very smart in electing him as a leader! Piggy has always been the most reasonable. A lot of people dislike him for that...but I am grateful for it...it's a stark contrast from Jack at least and a breath of fresh air. 🧠

Lastly, I love how Simon is so helpful, never really complaining about our predicament, AND he is pretty cool when you get to know him. He appreciates nature like I do, and I can really appreciate that. 🕊

Above all, they also work really well together...do they have their fights? Yes...but they usually work through it and I actually really respect that. I would love to get to know them better as one of their friends!! Thank you for asking
