Welcome back everyone!!! Anyway, here's technology mishaps that happen when you introduce humans to advanced tech.

Okay so as the human speciies is not all that advanced with tech compared to other species this leads to some interesting interactions.

Like the anti-gravity tech someone has lying around? Yep, a human is going to find it and either break it or accidently turning it on.

Im just thinking of all the different ways a Human would use it.

Say Aliens A and B walk in and see Human A drifting around on the ceiling, refercing spiderman. the Aliens just look at this human dumbfounded and ask "Excuse me Human A, how did you get up there?" and Human A is all just like "I found something, didn't know what it was so I tested it and now I'm floating....and stuck."

I imagine that everything has to be human-proofed and even then it doesn't stop humans from trying to figure everything out.

Also this means that humans are bascially the version of space cats for the Aliens and are the cause of a lot of stress.

For example, on planet 672CZ-S or Flork (natively), there is a colony of humans working with the scientists from Flork. The humans are quite fun to be around but are causing many of the Florkians to prematurely age and get greyer skin becayse of the stress.

"Human Sarah, please get down from there!", "No! Don't lick the urunium crystal, no. its radioactive and dangerois.... Doesn't matter what it tastes like! its dangerous" *Cue five aleins trying to take the urnaium back but met with an angry human who's hissing at them (proving the point, humans = space cats)

"I mean... how was I supposed to know that it could do that!" "Human Liam, it is labelled clearly as a Laser! You somehow shot the laser at the ruler of this planet!" "Labels are for Nerds!"

Just, humans and the endless curiosity that we have. And it's not just with tech but with everything

Oh but unethical practises can involve humans because guess what! We love breaking things! and shiny objects! and bombs! because a couple of guys decided to invent those in the past.

Anyway, you have crime syndicates hiring humans to get past the defenses simply because of our unbridnled curiosity to what does this button do?

It becomes so successful that at some point humans are nearly put on trial for breaking the alliance laws put in place. Luckily everything gets cleared up but a lot of people end up in prison.

Humans = Space cats and a nuisance to literally everyone else. Also there's a reason why every human has to have some sort of Alien babysitter. *ahem, the incidents on planets 49328-ASJ and 02491-LKM, and everyone involved can attest to that.*

Alright, let's get this party started, you know the drill and proper first post of 2023, three months late :D

Romanitc

some aliens have very good manners and are very charming and drink their respect juice which make them top candidates for love

problem is there are others who have similar traits and misuse these traits for personal gain

another thing is some qualities must be desirable on some planets but not on others

but now that got me thinking what if some alien out there is all alone and has significant other because they possess qualities which are not valued in their home society

so they leave and maybe meet a human? maybe meet an alien? maybe meet both and fall in love with both? take this as you wish

whatever the outcome of falling in love is, humans will show support in any kind of way they know how or in their own unique way.

introverts of all races make small gestures or slow down or even just listen to their significant other and enjoy doing that

extroverts of all races make big gestures and take care of their s.o in whatever situation

it's a black cat and golden retriever situation but not for all cases.

Friendships

Friendships really have all sorts of directions and that is why i wish i had friends lmao

really polar opposites make great friends but you know what else makes really good friends?

your mum okay, no, but really the friends that treat you amazingly no matter what and respect you? Those guys are great and latch onto them like a facehugger because they are precious.

Just I feel like friendships between aliens and humans definitely are all sorts of strangeness.

You have the opposites attract, the introverts, the extroverts and so on

Some alien species may have a culture that centres more around solitude and the individual rather than other cultures that are very communal resulting in way different friend groups formed

Does anyone remember the times where you just approached people and became friends with them like at the playground. Very old nostalgia I know but still remember that?

That feeling is great but also it would probably happen

More romantic,platonic, and familial between aliens and humans

Romantic Relationships

-Some aliens have very Rube Goldberg styles of courting while others are very straight forward

-blush appears on mammilain species but not on reptilian or avian, but that doe snot mean those species do not blush, they just hsow it differently

-i have a feeling that nearly all aliens can be embarrassed easily, so when a human flirts, its great

-meeting the parents could be very weird for alien species simply because either a) everyone knows each other or b) no one cares who you date in space

-ALIEN SO'S BEING PROTECTIVE

-on the above thought, humans have all sorts of social issues so if a human had an alien s.o, i headcanon they would be very protective

-small human, tall alien or vice versa

-the tension between very short humans and very tall humans confuse most aliens until it happens to them, then its "oh"

-some aliens are like cats which means courting gifts are like enemies heads or some sort of trophy

-polyamory is normal in some species and it is completely normal to have 2+ partners

-a lot of children that have both human and alien genes but how they appear can vary due to how strong the genetics are.

-humanoids can mate with each other but not more avaian or reptiallian or even very aquatic species. So those who cannot mate will adopt

Familial Relantionships

-Children are able to speak more than 3 languages, 2 being their parents original language and one which could be galactic basic or something. English is spoken within the galaxy but is not the main language

-children learning acceptance of differences from a very young age where that's skin colour, heritage, accents, sexuality, gender etc

-very mixed families, for example - alien+alien+human (parents) with alien/human mix and full human children or human+alien with 6 adopted or foster kids. Heterosexual, Homosexual, Bisexual, polyamorous, and so on couples and families exist.

-parents have either wallets filled with pictures or at least 3 full albums full of photos that they pull out to embarrass their kids

-found family is very common. ( idk if i mentioned this already)

-Child services are very effective on some planets but on others are crap

-children who are orphans sometimes have people who help them and create safe spaces for them

-mental health issues are treated seriously in a lot of families because it is important for the members to be healthy

Platonic Relationships

-Aliens bonding over their love for their human friends/colleagues/kids/SO

-give me a human showing an alien a meme and the alien doing what all the dads do when you show them something

-t-shirts that are " this is my alien -- >" "< --this is my human"

-aliens being mildly terrified of their human friends

-on the above headcanon, humans have the whole deathworlders and also having the damage predictability of an iphone

Aliens and dealing with animals

I find this hilarious because while aliens definitely have animal species on their planets and have domesticated them. Just compared to animals we find on earth, it's either that aliens are terrified or are not. Its one or the other. No one can change my mind.

Here's a scene.

Alien: What is this quadruped, furry animal on your lap human?

Human: Oh, this is Lasagna, they're my cat. I have two other cats, Loaf and Pebble. Lasagna's old and Loaf is a kitten - she scratches everything! * points to the sofa in the corner* Look what she did to my sofa! Pebbles yells a lot.

Alien: How did you domesticate such violent and destructive creatures.

Human: Through food. These fuzzballs love food! * nuzzles into Lasagna*

Alien: On an evolutionary perspective, are they related to any other species.

Human: They're related to big cats like tigers, lions, panthers. Any big cat, our cats are somehow related to. Someone I know is a zoologist and he says that the big cats are really friendly if they know you, and they love pets.

Alien: You mean that these small creatures are related to these dangerous creatures?

Human: Yep, but it's alright, the worst these kitties can do are scratch.

Alien * equally terrified and curious as Pebbles comes close and nudges their leg, * : Who is this? * Pebbles scratches*

Aliens and Humans Relationship Headcanons

General relationship headcanons, romatimic, platonic, etc. Cause my brain really ~Aliens like Humans~

- You know whenever there's a newborn baby and everyone coos over them? Yeah that's Aliens to Humans. Some are super tall and some are super short but it is agreed that Humans are ~baby~

- Most Aliens that have interacted/worked/met a bunch of humans has a favorite or a preferred human.

- Headcanoning one species of Aliens that are similar to cats. So when humans do they pspspspsp, these tall, scary looking humanoid/hybrid figures stumble over like cats. ALso this species are the same with cats and knocking things off places and chasing laser pointers.

- Imagine an Alien and Human who are together. But of course the Alien is scary and mean and in the middle of telling someone to go piss themselves, their human S.O shows up and the Alien melts into such a softy.

- Aliens either are super scared or super fond of humans. It makes sense given that Earth is Space Australia and we do banthashit things here.

- Probably classes at alien schools about Earth and Humans and there could be Human Transfers who are horrified at how Humans are presented. Human transfer students most likely being asked about human stuff

- Humans in public or in private are cuddlebugs, we like physical touch especially with the ones we love.

- Furries scare everyone, I mean have you seen them? ( this is a joke, I've met some furries and their all very nice :D)

- A thought, which i think is extremely funny, is how Aliens see our technology and compared to their technology is probably super old but humans make up for it with the enthusiasm.

- What about Aliens and swear words? I think this will be one of the next posts.

I think that aliens would be extremely weirded out by third culture kids.

Here's my thinking. Aliens come from planets that have only one ruler or government so laws are the same for the entire planet. If you look at Earth that is not the case with how our countries have different laws and everything else. This is not to say that aliens don't have municipalities or regions but maybe not as complex as having 195 countries each with their own government and laws.

I feel like a conversation would end up like this between an alien and a third culture kid.

Alien: Human? What is a "Third Culture Kid"?

HUman: Oh that's where you are from one country, but you live in another and you speak a completely different language.

Alien: I thought all planets had one government. That is standard on Earth?

Human: Uhhh, no.

Alien: What do you mean?

Human: We have... 195 countries

Alien: What is a country?

Human: uhhh a country is... an area that is governed.

Alien: So a region? We have 5 of those on my home planet of *unintelligible name* What about you?

Human: uhhh.... 195.

Alien: How many? My hearing is not great

Human: 195. We have 195 countries.

Alien: *Visible confusion* 195? How do you agree on anything?

Human: We have Unions and groups to agree on things.

Alien: So this "Third Culture Kid"? What is it?

Human: I'm considered a third culture kid. Born in Austria, Raised in Australia and my first language is French. So a third culture is kid is someone who is born somewhere, speaks a completely different first language and whose raised somewhere other than their home country.

Alien: Humans are confusing.

Imagine aliens hearing a thick accent for the first time. Like I'm talking heavy Scottish or Irish specifically just because it's too funny. But just imagine how funny it would be to other humans. We already laugh at the hilarity of the irish and scottish way of speaking so this would be humours. Just think an alien thinking its normal human and then it talks with such a thick accent that the alien just blue screens.

Twitter and tiktok are like a coral reef

It’s loud and bright and productive and glamorous. It’s fast-paced and things cycle through the environment in hours. Everyone is trying to fight for their position in the food chain and stay Relevant. There are lots of pretty things to look at. If something gets Popular it has an impact on everything around it, for a brief time until the next big thing arrives. To an outside observer it’s chaos but to those involved it has order, reason, a Purpose.

Tumblr is like a deep-sea ecosystem.

Things are slow and weird. Memes bounce around for years and even decades. People exist in their little isolated hydrothermal vent communities of mutuals. Sometimes something big happens (suez canal, November 5th, Queen Lizzie kickin’ it) and we all gather around like a whale fall but for the most part we’re just snootling around in the sand doing whatever the fuck. Occasionally someone comes down and shines their flashlight around and immediately leaves and tells their friends about what freaky shit we have going on in the depths. We don’t care. We’re very busy talking about Our Friend Jonathan from a book published in the 1800s like worms slowly digesting the bones of a long-dead organism.

What do you think aliens would have to say about pizza? It comes in a square box, is a circle, but is eaten in triangles. I would like your opinion on this very serious matter.

Very good question, and to that we have to determine if a pizza makes sense

It is a food made for consumption by humans and that Aliens can understand. It is nutritional and provides energy for us to function and is very tasty.

It also makes sense that it is cut into triangles as there is no other easier way to eat it but also it would not be possible unless the shape it was cooked in gave that ability to eat it differently. Aliens would recognise math and it would make sense.

Pizza being served in a square would confuse them, especially if they saw it for the first time. A square box helps with keeping everything in place and it is easier to stack and deliver. Aliens though would expect a square dish from a square dish not a circle.

It's not witchcraft I swear!

Aliens would also be suspicious of pizza at first because it looks weird and you can put anything on it really. When it comes to pizza toppings, the one thing they would find horrifying is pineapple, and not for the reason you may think. Pineapples have enzymes that are extremely acidic and the feeling you get after eating a pineapple slice is from these enzymes trying to eat your flesh. This is something the aliens are terrified and scared of as some of them would literally die if they ate pineapple. Chili is also a deterrent for certain species of animals and I think that would apply to Aliens as well. Humans are just able to eat chili because we like the pain and suffering and it tastes good.

Human evolution was basically Fuck Around and Find Out when it came to food so now we have the ability to eat items that are not supposed to be eaten. It scares the Aliens, that's for sure.

But Aliens will like pizza eventually and if they deny it, it's a lie.

Hey! I love your humans are weird aliens posts, and was wondering if you had any ideas on weird ways aliens try to flirt with humans that just seem like regular/weird/maybe even slightly offensive things to humans and the alien doesn’t understand their reactions to??

Now whilst yes this would be a very fun trope to read I would say that it would be less likely to happen. As we know there are many alien species and planets all with their own rich history and cultural values and standards. This means that most aliens are used to the idea of different cultures and most of the time will have some basic knowledge of what is acceptable or not. And because culture is ever changing and takes influence from everything it could be harder to keep up. But...

When it comes to cultures we have such huge and rich culture from everywhere and each country holds its own standards. Yes there are some similarities between different countries, most of the time there are things that are very specific to the area. Aliens would have to learn even more about the ways humans flirt as it varies from person to person.

I would say some aliens would crack very bad jokes that are unappealing towards the person like self deprecating jokes or dad jokes or even very bad puns. It would be very awkward to see that even with other humans. Other aliens could easily be to straight forward creating that vibe of being too forthcoming which would mean the human would have to accept or decline. ANother way would be aliens just being creepy because they have no sense of how humans flirt and thier doing it the way they normally would.

An example of this is Xa'oq from the planet Spinwa where giving the testicles of an ex is considered romantic ( as you can tell, very violent culture :D ) with Human Jane being very creeped out by this and having to explain very carefully why it's wrong.

Or Kara'ne'qap from the Kurn Sector, being super straightforward and logical which creates the awkward situation of politely having to say yes because Kara'ne'qap is very overeager too.

So yeah, humans would find some cultures from the aliens strange but most would accept the differences and still find love.

How would aliens deal with musical instruments—Western classical or otherwise? For example - you think if they saw a violin and then a cello, they’d say “oh that’s just a bigger violin” and then the respective players would get (rightfully) heated? Or, what about the guzheng or the didgeridoo?

I think that they would most likely understand that sound comes from those instruments but yes, they would probably piss off the respective players. Yes I think that they would refer to a viola as a tiny violin while a cello would be a bigger one because tbh, it looks like a violin except the size. The didgeridoo is one of my favourite weird instruments and aliens would be very confused how it makes different sounds. The guzheng is a guitar or violin except on the side so yes aliens would refer to this as a guitar-violin-piano. This pisses all the players off and they keep correcting them. The aliens get there in the end but it takes a very long time because the instruments we have might not be the same as on thier planet.

Another route is that some aliens don't have music and are fascinated by the instruments which means that these aliens would make sure to get everything correct so that their favourite humans who play instruments can still play and not be mad. I think that these aliens would then introduce it to their planet and then the music culture would evolve from earth's culture.

Obviously, I cannot say for sure what aliens would think but in summary, they definitely confuse instruments or just call some a mini/tiny or big/huge version of whatever the instrument it looks like.

-humans just doing batshit crazy stunts like jumping from roof to roof like cats do

-humans are also dogs

-humans can be very aggressive if taught to be from a young age

-humans are loyal to thier friends and family and will protect them at any cost if danger is nearby

-humans also love affection and attention and it is quite common of seeing them showing these acts to friends or demanding it

Humans are weird

Sleep. Sleep is honestly so strange. Sometimes I go to bed at a reasonable time, like 11pm. But then there are other times where I got to bed at 5am. Why do we do this? The struggles most of us have with sleep is unreal. But then even if I try to go to sleep I'm left with my thoughts, and I don't know if that's worse.

Alien: Human Kevin, you told me a human needs 8 hours of sleep a night.

Human: I'm aware

Alien: So why haven't you moved in 24 hours?
