I lwk think I got smarter by reading that book, but like I could only tell you very random and specific numbers about Venus, astrophage or Rocky’s system
I have integrated the word amaze into my vocabulary (which is honestly on brand for me because I said “sadness” even before so now I have a positive as well)
THE ENDING, I cried, but not super much, because it wasn’t sad yk.

the movie is great (its a lil different but it is really good for being a adaptation for the book)
(this is coming from someone who watched movie first then read book an then rewatched the movie, so my view on the movie is maybe affected that)

I actually watched the martian first then the whole phm thingy and then i just (two days ago) finished the martian book!!! Andy weir is really good at that stuff and he knows what hes doing.
The martian is good (book) but its different in the way its written tho it does have peak humor. I would say imo that phm is better but both are really good
One of my friends has a pin to give to me that says fist my bump on it and I am VERY excited about that!!
I love my random fact machine (brain) because I can never shut up about them!

Random but, I had a silly debate yesterday with me and three other bicycles (and one person who doesn’t even like dudes idk why they were there/silly) about whether or not Ryan gosling was better in phm or the notebook (iirc?) which was very fun
Uh sadly have not watched the notebook but i can say ryan Gosling was awesome in the movie and that i was debating for half of the first movie why something felt weird and then i realized "oh celebrity crush on a man. Ah makes sense" and thats how i discovered my type in men :3 (SPECIFICALLY THE SENCES WHEN HES WEARING THE YELLOW RAINCOAT THE CLASSROM SUIT AND THE CROTCHET JACKET.)
(The taste in men was "blond" "light eyes (blue,green,ect.) and"has a good personality" with bonus points if they have glasses)

oh yay! maybe a hot take? dialogue tags aren't strictly neccesary. like they make it easier to understand i get that, but they're a bit clunky sometimes and as long as you can show who's speaking then you can skip the "he said" "she said" stuff
