The machine is lying to you without even doing it on purpose, without you being prepared for it to be lying to you. Your Auntie does it on purpose, and designs those lies specifically for you, AND you are aware she could be lying, and so you learn to examine your own knowledge and use your brain. It has already been shown that using Generative LLMs as "answer machines" tanks your brain's ability to think and to learn; but more importantly--an elder bullshitting you is still teaching you something valuable in a culture-specific way.

A Generative LLM is not a search engine. It's entirely fully just an autocorrect. If what it "tells" you is wrong, that's because it's an autocorrect. And because it's not human, people don't question whether it's correct at all and don't check. It is bullshitting you without knowing its bullshitting you, and getting past your bullshit radar because you're turning it off. People tend to think a machine cannot be wrong, whereas a person can be.

Auntie bullshitting you is teaching you how to detect bullshit and teaching you in a way specific to your culture, which is passing culture down to you.
