looking back at my writing on this blog is like damn. verbose ass child. little mx exposition. I forget whether I was on adhd meds at the time but it sure doesn't look like it. not that I'm not still like that lmao

kinda depressing to see how many of the blogs i followed are inactive now. kinblr was definitely hit the hardest by this. and many of my friends’ surviving blogs have changed a lot over the past three years - between that and my already spotty memory, it’s hard to reconnect. and i’ve changed too! god, i was 15. three years ago. has it really been that long? i look back at some of my posts/reblogs here and i can remember making them. i’ve worked through so much shit since then. finally got out of the haze of depression that hung over most of my teenage years. it’s still there, mind, but i can actually experience full emotions now, so that’s a plus. this is getting kinda rambly but my point is i’m in a nostalgic mood tonight. this blog is a bittersweet time capsule. and so is every abandoned blog on the internet.

i lost access to tumblr three years ago due to my parents ramping up the enforcement of parental controls but they’ve chilled out now that i’m legally my own person. authoritarian parenting did nothing but teach me how to hide/find loopholes better, and i created a new account like a year later. idrk why i didn’t just try to recover my password for this one; maybe it’s because i was openly otherkin here? anyway dm me if you wanna get back in touch

This is the first time in months I’ve been able to access Tumblr due to parental controls, so I plan to delete this blog next time I log on (which, to be honest, probably won’t be anytime soon, but I recommend you reblog/save whatever posts you want to keep within the next month). I know deleting seems extreme, but so are my parents’ punishments for this sort of thing. I really am sorry about this long hiatus and sudden deletion notice. I hope y’all understand.

For those who don’t know what’s happening in the video, she untied her shoelaces, pulled one through the inside of the zip tie binding her hands, then tied the shoelaces together. Then, by pulling downward and back and forth on the shoelaces with her feet, she created enough friction to wear away part of the ziptie, making it weak enough to snap right off her hands.

There truly is a difference between "whispered" and "said quietly."

You can even write "said softly" or "in a low tone" and each evokes something slightly different when read. Do not take the No Adverbs advice so hard. So much of dialogue is tonal, so when you need a different word use it. Don't sacrifice meaning and character in important scenes for the sake of a "rule."
