So yeah, I’m not playing SWL or continuing Arlen’s story in this universe for the foreseeable future. Consequently, this account is going into permanent archive mode as I don’t have the heart to delete it outright. Don’t get me wrong–I feel a strong compulsion to do exactly that, with my brain being what it is, but I also know I’d regret it if I did. 😕

As for this post, it has been sitting in the drafts folder here since January, I think. There was supposed to be a story attached to it too, but it’s long gone. I feel kinda bad about that, so just have these pictures.

Ah yes! That reminds me (in a roundabout way)--I did want to add that I have given his story a nice conclusion for now.

Arlen has found some (relative) peace and stability now that he's been transferred off the Templar front lines and into the Council of Venice. He works in their London-area satellite office as a diplomatic assistant by day, freeing up his nights to continue his job with Secret Radio 4 as a nighttime presenter.

I am happy to report, he has been promoted to reading the shipping forecast, a personal dream of his.

He has since moved to the suburbs (around Ruislip) and is currently living quietly in the outskirts, residing in a small row-house with Smiler, his motley collection of automatons and some strawberries in a terracotta pot.

Arlen does not expect the Templars will call on him again any time soon...but you never know!
