Daylight is my klance fanfic that I'm working on right now! It's season 7 space roadtrip to earth friends with benefits/secret relationship. It has a ton of Voltron magic, Galra lore, and all my favorite AO3 tags i.e. hurt/comfort, BAMF Lance, Black Paladin Keith, Red Paladin Lance, etc. infinity

It’s Noah Kahan anon again I’m back and I’m here to say I’ve been Listening to The Great Divide again and other general Noah Kahan songs and just laying on the floor, the couch, the bed, looking at the sky thru the sunroof of my car in the parking lot in my feels about daylight. I’m REALLY hooked on Willing and Able after rereading chapter 11 and have been listening to that and Orbiter nonstop.

Willing and able is like. Like I said before they’re dancing around it, too scared to touch it but too scared not to. And I just think of Lance sitting up on red with his knees to his chest all broody and I’m just imagining all these sweet scenes mixed with Lance being So Sure that Keith doesn’t love him. And then when Keith comes and they sit and talk it out about their fight. But they’re still not touching the topic, not really. It’s like a really intense game of Hot Potato with the mate topic. Ughhh it’s so good.

And orbiter. God I could go forever about orbiter. It’s half and half. Keith is the astronaut and Lance is his moon. He cannot stop staring at Lance. He’s always looking. He’s always there right when Lance needs him. He’s so gone on Lance. Love to the point of invention (see: piloting black remotely when that’s never been done before) is just on par for them. Nothing is impossible for them. And for Lance he is so tired of being unsure but he’s so scared. (Even anxious pups need the mooooonnnn) Keith is his moon. His heart calls and cries and howls for Keith, who he cannot live without. There isn’t a thing he wouldn’t do for Keith.*

Orbiter makes me think of them on the asteroid with the light changing constantly as it rotates on its path. I see Keith standing in the clearing looking at Lance. I see them on the beach staring at eachother longingly while the wind blows their hair around gently. It makes me think of Lance having a nightmare and waking up to Keith being right there at his side. About him having his anxiety attack in red and Keith being there to just hold him through it.

*As an aside to the songs, jumping off the last statement there I think Lance doing anything for Keith and to keep him safe goes further than Keith could EVER understand. Like yeah. Obviously Keith would do anything for Lance too but we’ve literally seen Lance be lowkey psychotic about how down bad he is for Keith considering he’s so possessive and literally murderous abt Keith’s mate.

All this to say. Dude. You’re the greatest author to ever. I’m never gonna stop thinking about them ever ever ever. I could go on and on and on forever and ever about how NK songs fit daylight but we would be here for eternity so I’ll probably just come back and yell about your giant brain and his songs and daylight and then go away for a bit.

Thinking about daylight as usual and Lance being adamant that they are just fwb casual whatever and then fantasizing about bringing Keith home to his family like a boyfriend is hilarious to me. He can’t wait for his siblings to start the ribbing and teasing for them both. He knows his brothers would be hesitant to do it in front of Keith until they get a feel for him. He is WHIPPED. I love daylight Lance so much it’s unreal.

I just know his mom will love Keith I can just see her giving him a biiiiig motherly smooch on the cheek. She would approve especially after seeing how Keith is kinda tense until Lance is at his side and he just melts. Only the best for her baby boy Lance. Am I cooking or am I cooked it’s 105° where I live today
