Finally learning how to do some basic sewing so I can DIY my clothes.

Partly because I’m goth, partly because I’m short but broad so everything is too long.

It’s slow going since I’m learning from my grandmother, who has Parkinson’s. It’s nice to bond with her over this while she’s still here. And I’ll have this practical life skill to remember her by.

Today I trimmed and hemmed some button ups, and just trimmed a bunch of t-shirts. I prefer the rough edge on those. In a couple more visits I’ll have my whole wardrobe better fitting.

Thinking of what to do with the scraps, since I got some decent sized chunks of fabric left.
