The defacto matriarch of the Douglas family, Michelle is the aunt of Amanda and her siblings, raising them after their mother passed and their father skipped town. Naturally, sheânor the kidsâdonât really think much of the man who left them out to dry, so to speak; she even less so, given that their father had abandoned them long before their mother passed away. Sheâs a strong-willed woman, utterly no-nonsense, and may or may not have been a Fleetwood Mac groupie back in her day, before she took on the responsibility of raising her sisterâs kids. Sheâs got a #reputation for being a bit of a weirdo in townâhilarious, given that Sunnyside is  a hotbed for all sorts of nonsenseâand she prefers it that way. While others are intimidated by her, sheâs warm with those she cares about, however small that number of people might be. Even with her somewhat carefree attitude, thereâs no denying that she was crushed when her youngest niece, Amandaâs twin, went missing several years ago. Although psychic abilities do run in the Douglas family, and have for as long as anyone can remember, neither sheânor her sister, actuallyâinherited them. As for her work, I can see her either being an artist working out of her home, or else having a surprisingly mundane job.

Amandaâs eldest brother, Boyd here raised his younger siblings just as much as their aunt did; where she was less accustomed to being responsible for people other than herself, he had already become used to looking after his younger siblings. Between his parents working, his parents splitting, and his mother getting sick and eventually passing away, the weight of their small world has been on his shoulders for seemingly all of his life. Needless to say, heâs been stressed out and tired for a long time, and perhaps it was both a surprise and not one at all that he went into law enforcement. Quiet and stoic, Boyd is actually surprisingly similar to their aunt; not necessarily in the way that he has a devil-may-care air about him, but rather, the fact that he doesnât take shit from anyone. Heâs assertive and obnoxiously rational, sometimes prone to snap judgments that more often than not turn out to be correct. He has some latent psychic ability; most likely in the form of intuition, to the extent that he doesnât really even see it as a psychic ability. His drive to get into law enforcement was spurred even further when his youngest sister went missing several years back. He blames himself, in part, for her never being foundâeven if that self-recrimination is hardly founded at all. Perhaps not surprisingly, he is not the biggest fan of Amandaâs partner⌠who just so happened to be one of the leads on her twinâs missing persons case.

Amandaâs other older brother, Max has always been something of a wild card in the family; although loyal and loving to a fault, he often has a difficult time thinking of anyoneâs needs or desires other than his own. This became all the more apparent after their mother got sick, and when it fell to their eldest brother to take care of the family before the siblings all ended up in the care and custody of their maternal aunt. He felt the loss, though; of course he did, and he felt it keenly. While in his older brother, it resulted in taking on even more responsibility, in him, the opposite effect was true. He spiraled, nearly losing everything before he was forced out of that spiral by his family. Now, heâs working to rebuild his life into something a bit more worth living. It is difficult for him, given his general demeanor, and itâs been made all the more difficult by the loss of the siblingsâ youngest sister, Amandaâs twin. He and Mandyâs twin were closest out of all of the siblings, aside from Mandy and her sister, despite having little in common. Like his aunt and mother, Max did not inherit any psychic abilities, and what he does for work is up to you!
___ DOUGLAS ⢠28 ⢠IMOGEN POOTS
Mandyâs younger twin, Imogen was the closest to Amanda out of all her siblings. They shared a bond that no one could break or even come close to touching, a bond that was made deeper by their shared psychic abilities. Although Amanda is an empath, her sister was a telepath; the twins had to hear and feel what everyone else was going through, and were able to find solace with one anotherâthe only other person who could understand. Where Mandy was always the more introverted one, Imogen was the more extroverted; she was bubbly where Mandyâs happiness was more subdued, softer than her sisterâs. Imogen emobided their motherâs personality to the letter: carefree, an old soul in a young body with little to none of the wisdom that could be assumed of such a soul. Several years ago, when the twins were still in collegeâMandy going for photography, Imogen for whatever youâd likeâImogen went missing, seemingly without a trace. In truth, she had fallen in with the wrong people. The details of it are up to you, but in the end, she was turned vampire, and has been living with her sire (or maker, however youâd like to refer to it) ever since. What sheâs like as a vampire is up to you, but there are key details to keep in mind: vampires do not have a soulâtherefore, they typically do not have a conscience, seldom have capacity for empathy or love, and only retain the base personality and all of the memories of their human life. Regarding her telepathy: when a psychic is made demon, their previous powers or abilities fade. Not entirely, but to the point where she wouldnât be able to read minds. She would, however, be more adept at mesmerizing humans, putting them under a thrall or glamour, whatever you would like to call it. Given that sheâs still a rather young vampire, itâs not likely that itâs a very refined gift for her, but itâs still present all the same.
