Gyro takes a tentative bite of the grilled cheese sandwich-shaped lump of charcoal. It’s the thought that counts, after all. Noah just looks so happy…
“Wow, this is, uh, nice, Noah,” Gyro says. “A little more… well-done… than I normally have, maybe.”
Gyro takes another bite and tries not to wince at the omnious crunching. “And it’s great to see you again!”

Yeah, so uhhhh, let’s just. leave that. Like, I really wanna do it but clearly it’s not going to happen. It’s hard to get the story out of my head and into corporeal form. Whatever was gonna come through the wormhole is A Mystery Forever.

VAMPIRE SQUID FACTS:
- vampire squid are not squid; instead of two clubbed tentacles, they have two long retractable bioluminescent filaments. they belong to their own order of cephalopods, in which they are the only known living species!
- the “spines” on their arms are actually soft fleshy protrusions.
- when threatened, they will invert their arm cape over their body and flash bioluminescent lights on the undersides of their arms to deter predators; this is called the “pineapple position”.
- as a last resort they can also eject a large cloud of bioluminescent slime to hide their escape!
- we recently learned that they eat marine snow and other detritus, making them the only known cephalopods that don’t actively hunt for prey!! nature is cool!!!
